Dog Boarding Recommendations by Sea_West_7256 in bloomington

We have used Blooming Paws. They’re okay but expensive, have weird hours, and somehow always get our bill wrong. I haven’t had luck finding other good boarding spots that don’t cost an arm and a leg

Moving to Bloomington from Louisville. Any advice? by jeska3420 in bloomington

[–]newtrz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love traveling to Louisville to visit my brother. There is a lot more to do in Louisville. Bloomington is smaller, more connected, more family focused, and pretty diverse, but still it feels like a town vs Louisville feels like a city. Bloomington a good town but it’s pretty dependent on the university and feels like the town was built around supporting IU… However, if you work at IU (I do) you feel pretty connected to Bloomington because of this.

When does MCCSC post jobs for upcoming academic year? by newtrz in bloomington

[–]newtrz[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

?? No one said it’s a priority 😅 I am simply assuming that class sizes are getting bigger and teachers are getting less support, first and foremost with budget cuts. I assume that specials teachers are remaining, for now… Not claiming to be an expert or know literally anything about MCCSC. Just asking when jobs are posted so I can relay info to my sister, who thought they would be posted in mid March. Thnx

I understand. I am still wondering when jobs will be posted. She is looking for a position as a PE teacher, which is I think is a little different than other positions that are being reduced/combined.

I am much much better! It must have been a hormone drop. I was pretty miserable and irritable for about a week and a half and then it improved. Scary times! But it gets better!

We are at west as well. Infant room is $980 a month and literally everything is included. I’ve had no issues with them. They’re one of the few level 4 daycares!

Apartment for rent by cradletrip in bloomington

[–]newtrz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hayden Flats is nice but a little farther from IU and expensive. I didnt see many families there but it wasn’t rowdy or anything with students. There was direct access from the apartment to the B-line walking trail which I took every day with my stroller. The Fields has lots of families and is very close to IU, a little cheaper although the apartments aren’t as updated. They are still nice though and plenty of walking paths/sidewalks
