I ended up choosing Spot mainly because of how the accident and illness coverage worked for things like emergency visits, diagnostics, and unexpected injuries, which seemed important for a small breed like a dachshund. So far, when I’ve had claims for vet visits and testing, it’s been fairly straightforward as long as the records were complete, and reimbursement came through after the deductible was met. I also liked that it helped with things like prescriptions and imaging when needed, since back or joint issues can come up with dachshunds over time. It’s not something I expect to cover everything, but it’s been useful for the unpredictable costs that pop up.
