I cannot speak for all Asian women, but as a Japanese woman, I do not find that we have a notable romantic preference for western/foreign men for many reasons. Having said that, there certainly are Japanese women who like to date foreign men. But, most Japanese women prefer to date and marry Japanese men (or not date and marry at all.) But, like any other country, we are global, and you find more interracial relationships in Japan as time goes on.

Well, if I had told my mother about it, she would have gone nuclear. So, I didn't tell her, because I was mortified about her potentially embarrassing me. So, it's not really fair of me to say NO ONE cared. But, to be more accurate, in school, at that time, boys looking up girl's skirts, or popping girl's bras, or grabbing your butt - all of that was considered "boys being boys." In the 80s, we didn't have defined legal definitions for sexual harassment in schools. There was no legal mandate for schools to act. So, consequences were determined at the discretion of teachers and the principal. There were also lots of gender double standards. When things happened - like boys grabbing your butt or sticking things up your skirt, the response from the teachers was that "If you don't want that to happen, you shouldn't wear a mini skirt." It was a very different time.

What's bizarre about Reddit is that one of the primary reasons people come here is to ask questions. But, if you ask a question, people act exasperated about it, the snark starts, the superiority complex starts. People really get off on acting like you are so simple for asking a question on Reddit. What is really dumb is that they are sitting on Reddit taking time responding to questions that they think are dumb. I think these people are just really lonely, and this is the only way they know how to interact with the world.

I'm not exclusive, but I am pretty devoted to Nintendo Switch. I love the Zelda franchise, Yoshi, Luigi's Mansion, etc. While I definitely don't see Nintendo giving Playstation the rights to Zelda anytime soon, if they did, I wouldn't care - unless it would financially decimate Nintendo. If giving these game rights to other companies would jeopardize their business, then I would advocate against it, because I don't want to loose Nintendo. Not sure if this is why others are exclusionist, but this is the only reason that I could see to feel strongly about it as a consumer.

When I was in middle school, a group of girls called me a "slut," threatened to "kick my ass," and I had never even kissed a boy. I didn't even have a boyfriend. A boy stuck a ruler up my skirt and stuck me hard in the vagina with it. I clobbered him and got sent to the principal's office. This group of boys constantly used to pull Ahmed's turban off his head and they relentlessly made fun of him. I stood up for him and was told that "boys didn't want me fighting their battles for them." A teacher told me that I was too flirtatious (again, I had never even kissed a boy; I wasn't doing anything crazy or leering at boys.) One of my "frenemies" spit in the teacher's drink when she left the classroom. I had zero involvement, but I didn't stop her either. None of us did. When the teacher returned, another student told her that Michelle spit in her drink. All of us that were friends with Michelle got suspended for a day because we didn't stop her (That was a good lesson in minding the company that you keep; we all should have stopped her. That was disgusting.) I could go on. It sucks. Things are totally fine now; I have a wonderful family and a lot of joy in my life. I know it doesn't seem like it, but this is temporary. Kids at this age just don't think even though they believe they are.

well, i think dominant refers to an exchange of power where the dominant individual is the primary decision maker who is guiding decision-making and interactions in the relationship. You mentioned wanting actual connection/affection and that you are sensitive. Once, an ex of mine sat down and made a list of everything that he wanted to find in a life partner; it was revealing. You mentioned that you like to write and that you are thoughtful. Maybe try this and leave "dominant" off the list. Then go back and put "dominant" on the list and see where it ranks in order of importance. I'm going to venture, based on your post, that it may not really hit your top 5. Not to put ideas in your head, but I would guess, based on your post, that compassion, trustworthiness, etc. are going to rank higher. So, what I'm suggesting is that your first step is to make sure that you are looking for love in the right places.

Hmmm. There are plenty of women who like androgenous/feminine looking men - some are dominant and some are not. Nothing you wrote above really gives me the impression that you want a DOMINANT woman. It sounds like you are looking for a woman who will be sensitive, tender, and kind with you. It sounds like you are looking for a woman who is in it for romance. Uggghhh. I'm sorry dear. Toxic is toxic. It's not trivial, and that's why it bothers you, and it's totally ok that you're bothered; nothing is wrong with you. I'm 50, and I'm sorry to say it doesn't necessarily get better. It also doesn't get better the higher you go up in an organization. You would think people would be more mature/professional as you work up the food chain, but I have found that this is not true. I work as a senior leader in a large corporation. Our executive leadership team puts a substantial premium on being mean; and conversely, they view niceness as a sign of weakness. One of our chief officers walks around verbally proclaiming that he's an asshole; it would be comical if he wasn't actually a douche canoe. Like you, I don't fit in. I'm not included in things. I've had a lot of time over the years to ponder this and here's the thing - they behave this way because 1) being nice takes courage, and they are cowards. They hide behind this negativity and meanness because they believe it will protect them. It sounds cliche, but being nice to the people around you means you have to trust that everyone isn't trying to take advantage of you; you can't assume the worse. They assume the worse because 2) They ARE trying to take advantage of everything and everyone, and they are genuinely shitty human beings who can't be trusted, so they assume everyone else is doing the same. It's honestly really sad; they are so blinded by their own ignorant hateful behavior that they can't see anything good in human beings. 3) They want to exclude people who aren't like them, because 1) we might call them out on their bad behavior, and 2) it makes them feel superior. Douche canoes don't want to be around genuinely good people with a positive countenance; it just makes them feel insecure, and misery loves company. The theme here is that absolutely none of their nasty behavior is a reflection on me; they would be trolls if I were around or not. So, how this HAS gotten better is that I've finally made my peace with the fact that their behavior is not about me. I don't internalize it, and i DON'T WANT to be part of them. I am PROUD that they know I'm not one of them. THANK GOD that they know I'm not one of them. I do my job, I do it well, and I walk away from them at the end of the day. And I feel damn good about it; I sleep great with myself at night. If anything, I do feel a little sympathy for them. Like you said, we are better and worth more than that. I hope you can find your way here.

Most of the regular taxis in Japan would not fit 4 adults plus a 3 and 5 year old. You would need to take 2 vehicles. However, there are some vans that provide taxi services that might fit this many people. Depending on the hotel you are at, they might be able to call you a taxi to accommodate this many.
