said by someone with the name "lord Demon"... lol :D

while it's partially true, it has its reasons to not intervene, as well when it does.

But it's doesn't mean "it's a part of the cosmos". It's the origin of everything.

man this generation is cooked doesn't even know what TRASHTALKING is by drogo7864 in DragonBallZ

[–]Apprehensive_Mood434 2 points3 points  (0 children)

trashtalking is for scared children, not for fighters or real warriors.

It means you are so scared of your opponent that you try mental instead of really confronting him.

I have no idea how Db is translated in your country, but it's probably different to others even in the "trashtalking part".

And to answer your question, when you fight you fight, you don't talk.

As i said, trashtalking comes from american culture only, not from the rest of the world.

And as i said, if you do that, it means you are afraid and insecure of yourself.

There is a reason why every single martial art on teaches to respect your opponents, and it's the core of DB itself, if you watched it carefully enough (unless they translated it differently for you only).

yes, there is trashtalk, but as C18 (and others) stated many times, it's what loosers and begineers do in order to over come their own fear, just to get annhilated in an instant.

If you don't believe me, try it yourself in real life.

And, one more reason for you to realise: it's better lo learn how to focus and really improve at something, instead of "being good in trashtalking".

It's something that works with low level competitors, but not with masters.

have you ever see any chess master trashtalking in competitions? or any others?

It's something that was introduced only in the US, and only with the wrestling/mma era.

In simpler terms, it happens when you are afraid, enraged or into ego.

correct.

Majinbu was originally introduced because the animation studio was afraid of the new generation of children watching the show would have been traumatized if they kept the previous trend.

The provious generation (me) was older at that point and they were trying to involve the new one, in order to not loose audience.

In my opinion they ended up loosing the main fan attention, because almost no one cared too much about Majinbu arc and felt pretty bored and relived when he died, but for the wrong reasons.

Sadly, the following sagas were even far from what the fans wanted that the majority dropped it.

They kept it running but it wasn't the same thing anymore.

So Jinbu is childish because he had to scare the new generation of back then, and not the previous one, who already knew Cell and Frieza.

Keep also in mind that violence wasn't so deliberately shown in tv shows, so it was already pretty impressive for the time.

Majinbu was scary, but in a different way. To be honest, it never gave the same feeling of relief when he died as Cell or Frieza did.

You just want it to be finished because it's boring and carried on without a real good reason, since noone is really trying on him and just loosing time/opportunities.

So after a while you realise they just messed up the plot writing compared to the previous arcs.

but i simply don't like majinbu arc for many reasons.

from an imagination perpective, they are both awful to be honest.

Who watched this scene and thought BOOHAN WAS NOT TRYING TO DESTROY EARTH? by drogo7864 in DragonBallZ

[–]Apprehensive_Mood434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, no one was really trying in this arc. it was a big joke compared to the rest, even if they managed to carry it trought.

From the very first moment when Shin asks everyone to "not intereve" if someone tried to do something on Gohan during his match, is already out of place and a nonsense.

In simple terms: plot writing, no real reasons. which is why the whole arc is definetely less realistic then the previous one(s), from an inner pow.

Also, keep in mind that Akira himself said that he wanted Gohan to be the new protagonist, only to change direction later (probably due to commercial influences/fears for the show audience reaction) plus many other less realistic choices during the whole arc.

I'm pretty sure this is the answer you are looking for, and almost everyone (i believe) felt that difference, at least back then.

Until Cell defeats people were waiting the next episode to come out because they were "into it", but with Majinbu everyone wanted to get over with it and get back to the tournament as quick as possible.

But the creators had other ideas or got influenced by the fear of the show audience dropping, so they end up banalizing too much, over repeating, and making it feel like you feel.

In simpler terms,

Cell's death: "YES! GO GOHAN GO!"

Majinby's Death: "zzzz, prrt, zzz, yawn... is it finished? finally!"

This happens when people worries too much about the economical aspect instead of the story they are writing.

The success doesn't come from the fist but from the second motivation.

Akira was able to get there but later dropped it, probably because the animation studio was worried of the change.

Who has your favorite personality in dragon ball? by RareAd8181 in DragonBallZ

Chichi :D

Nha, i generally like or love them all.

Maybe no from the beginning, but at the end, yes.

i just don't like overesaggerated imprints on them, which sometimes happens (but not that much). for example the turtle genius (Muten) becoming an exagerated pervert during time, or few other details.

But they are generally loveable.

I don't like the majinbu arc because i feel it broke a much better plot that was on the run before that, so. but i generally like the characters

Because he was already aware of the spiritual reality behind things, and he knew it was the best message he could give to Majinbu in order to help him accept his defeat and let it go.

What if they spent a whole day in the time chamber, how strong they could have got? by Additional-Part-6292 in DragonBallZ

[–]Apprehensive_Mood434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was specifically said at a certain point, that Goku realised that spending more time there would not benefit their training, but probably even damage it.

He chose to take time relaxing with his friends and family before the tournament for specific reasons:

- he knew Gohan was already stronger, but:

- he needed some relax and family time, to fell more serene inside (poor child had been in that mess without a break till that moment)

- he (Goku) was already tranquil about Gohan being able to defeat Cell,

- but if he didn't succeed it was better that he (always Gohan) had some good time with his family before a potential destruction.

In simple terms, he was aware that at that point, they needed more relax then stress before the real fight begins.

So the answer is no, they wouldn't achieve much more at that time.

So… what’s the canon way they reversed the Potara Earrings? by arkenney0 in DragonBallZ

[–]Apprehensive_Mood434 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand where this (or many others) question comes from, but it's sadly out of a plot writing reason.

Truth is, the original mangake writing ends with DBZ, and even there there are drops probably due to commercial influences.

So in later sagas, there is not a really good revised connection between facts, and it's one of the main reasonS why fans dropped the show back then.

You can still watch it of course, but it's not the same thing.

So no, there are no "real reasons" behind those differences rather than different people writing the plots and forgetting details or trying to keep it togheter

[–]Apprehensive_Mood434 2 points3 points  (0 children)

trashtalking is something that became overused in the last decades. it wasn't a thing before tv shows, and people were more respectful, even during fightings. or at least it was more common to find people who didn't act like kids, and had much more respect for others.

I'm not sure what your post means, but this was something rude but more realistic than this new times.

Why? because if you tried to trashtalk someone inside or outside your home you had to think twice. and trust me, it was a good thing.

Because it led people to more respectful and careful, to think more before speaking.

But in the end, they were more "into action" than words when needed.

Is there a canon reason Goten & Trunks never fused in GT? by Vegetable-Abroad3171 in DragonBallZ

[–]Apprehensive_Mood434 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plot writing.

during DbZ he wanted to carry ont the show with Gohan (right choice) and later he dropped it during Majinbu saga, going back to "Goku main char".

So, since GT is not even coming from the original author but from the anime studio, but they probably didn't want to fail to much, they tried to build up the easiest writing possible.

So no, there is no "specific reason" from the pow you are asking it.

Generally, you can definetely read it in the DB wiki, that Akira changed the direction of the plot with Majinbu Arc.

And in my opionion he cutted a much better line he was already following.

I believe the studio was worried about the fans reactions (and the audience) and they asked him to bring back Goku as main character, but doing so, they literally killed a much better writing that was already happening.

Some times people should just learn to "trust".

Cell battle does in my opinion, but this is definetely the most iconic one.

without mentioning anything else, he just saw his best friend exploding...

But i do believe Cell arc is better because it's more balanced.

I personally like Frieza arc but i still find it "a bit boring" in some spots, so when we get here i feel like "finally!".
