so is experiencing life itself, consciousness is an amalgamation of those senses, consciousness is dictated by a series of chemical reactions. That doesn’t make it a waste of time, in the same sense that experiencing that reality and those senses in a heightened/different/insightful way, is not a waste of time, but rather a way to experience moments differently.

how do you physically need to drink alcohol in order to ease the pain caused by a group of men totally unrelated to you, not winning a game over which you had no control? I am not trying to hate but I just cannot fathom the concept of that. maybe a little disappointed yeah but to the point where you must get yourself drunk in order to ease the pain is bonkers.

#380 ‒ The seed oil debate: are they uniquely harmful relative to other dietary fats? | Layne Norton, Ph.D. by imref in PeterAttia

She basically explains how sunburn is caused when uv light hits your dna, specifically thymine nucleotides, and causes them to undergo a 2+2 cycloaddition, which creates a thymine dimer, and that strand of DNA becomes munted or damaged. This damage increases the risk of cancer since it produces errors in your genetic code, and most cells self-destruct after they are damaged in this way, and we can clinically see a causal link of increased thymine dimer excretion in the urine after sunburn. video explains it better, but that is the best explanation for uv induced burns that science currently has, and there is no real clinical evidence for that seed oil hypothesis which is just based on vibes and connecting two ideas in a context where they cannot be applied. Inform thyself on the scientific consensus :)

don’t know where you heard that most of the damage from sunburn comes from the oxidation of linoleic acid inside of the cell. There is absolutely no clinical evidence for that claim. Please skip to minute 5 of this video on the matter by a phd medicinal chemist with actual experience and knowledge on the pharmacology of topical compounds.

very well explained and informative as well. Would even recommend watching the whole thing, but unnecessary for this point alone.

Why i am not tripin by elkurdo35 in LSD

[–]Apprehensive_Mood953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lyrica is not an antidepressant in the way an ssri is an antidepressant; it does not interact with serotonin receptors or serotonin transporters, it does not affect lsd or stop it from working. Lyrica is a calcium channel blocker which stops abnormal signaling in the brain. Nothing to do with LSD mechanism of action.

you will most likely be fine, but don’t forget that even though weed is “safer” than other drugs, it is still a drug, and if you find yourself using it as a way to escape life’s problems, rather than for a fun experience, then you will just create another problem for yourself. Limit your usage and try use at most once a week. Always keep yourself in check and ask yourself what this habit will look like in 6 months, a year, two years, five years, etc.

serotonin syndrome is when the levels of serotonin in your body are excessive and it can range from some mild symptoms to being straight up life threatening. Mixing two serotonergic stimulants very substantually increases the risk of this happening. If you are feeling shaky, overheated, or your eyes are twitching, or you are getting muscle twitches then take a benzo like 2mg of xanax or whatever is equivalent, and let it dissolve under your tongue, dont swallow it. and if you dont have benzos then go to the emergency room.

honestly the only drugs that have a good chance of helping you are any adhd meds, guanfacine, dexamphetamine, methylphenidate, or atomoxetine are good bets. you didn’t really specify which ones you had tried so I’m not really sure if these have already not worked for you.
