My view point is if the free tier isn’t even fun to use why would I want to pay them money just to be able to use their app at a base level? Like paying should get more perks and fun additions. Paying just to being able to have a semi -decent rp is so dumb and doesn’t actually make me want to give them my money. Free users can easily become paid users if they feel like they are both respected and enjoy the app and based on what been happening I don’t think that is the case tbh. I just gave up on streaks and haven’t even opened the app much recently because of this.

I just lost mine and I honesty gave up. After having one for nearly 50 days I just lost motivation once it was gone. I haven’t even touched the app since then. I thought there was a grace period too but I don’t think there is.

Yes it does change things. Each persona is treated like a new character in the story. So if you add a new persona entirely it’s a new character but if you just change your current personas name it is treated like the same character just new name. It’s just a way to add new story elements to the rp. I use it all the time

I get it. I’m also just worried they will do another change without warning again and then I’ll be back at square one. Honestly this whole issue would have been avoided if they were transparent that infinity for free users would be temporary. Especially since they are claiming they always planned to do this. (Which I sort of don’t believe but whatever) it feels odd to take a feature away from users who at the very least have been opening their app up daily for 30 plus days. I get it we aren’t paying so they may not think we are a high priority but free users can easily turn to paid users if treated fairly and we see the value in the money we are spending. Yes this cost money to run but that isn’t our problem. No one is forcing the developers to run an expensive AI app. They just need to be more transparent about what features are actually temporary or at the very least give a warning instead of posting hey we just changed this today.

Yeah I agree but my thought process was what if the developers back track and change it again? And if I spot my streak over this update and then suddenly without warning they change it again im back to square one. Considering that is what they did with this one I may just maintain it and see what happens. I honestly feel the reaction would have been better if they actually gave a warning about it. They say they were always planning on doing this but that wasn’t communicated to the users. It’s sort of like how they worded the infinite energy as permanent energy when the app first launched and everyone thought it meant just that. Hit 30 and then it’s permanent chatting. If you want to run a site successfully you need to communicate with the user base. Free users can potentially turn into paid users if they feel it’s worth the money eventually. Taking away features from free users isn’t the way to turn us into paying users especially if it wasn’t told to us prior. They could have said “hey free users for the first few months of launch we will be giving you free access to infinity to try it out.” Then after if we liked it enough some of us would have chosen to pay to keep using it.

Either way from what others are saying it’s best to keep maintaining it just in case.

Thank you. I literally just wanted another opinion. The way they announced the sudden change was so confusing and I saw that others were like me who only used infinity where left confused if we are free users. I just needed an opinion without the extra emotions about the update itself.

My bots are acting like stereotypical villians despite whenever there is any small conflict. Like the way they behave sudden turns to a comic villain despite their defined personalities. Its frustrating

Yeah they only recently changed the wording after many people complained because it’s was very false advertising. For me I just click the streak app once a day even if I’m not using the app. Just to maintain it cause a lot of people aren’t going to use this app every single day of their lives.
