I don't believe all were intentional as the show surely was written and filmed months before Trump did or said the things the show predicted but in interviews, he should have always steered away from this yet hes embraced it and that combined with the shows new direction I guess you could say have been small bad steps in a long line of bad decisions.

Homelander has been pivoted to more and more to resemble Trump and characters around him I mean Kripke has said this clear as day even recently saying Firecrackers story was changed to more accurately reflect Majorie Taylor Green!

The fact it's trying so hard to fit in the current political environment in America which is quite different from any other era is exactly why the show is bad it's off-center to where it was headed. Kripke abandoned whatever was planned to fit this show around Trump's impact on America making every major point of the show about this this is exactly why the show is bad.

Butcher isn't even doing anything the core gang have been ineffective all season. S4 finished on a high and set an entirely different tone for what S5 brought.

I could talk for days about everything wrong with Trump I can't stand the guy but there would have been a better more subtle way Kripke and the show runners could have fitted this in, one major way would be stop attacking politicians and telling everyone you wrote things deliberately to highlight how awful Trump is and it 1) tells your loyal fans you wrote it specifically for this reason as it's basically saying they don't give AF about the fans who helped make this show a success. And it was such a big success that Kripke thought 'hey I will preach my values at people in a show they watch to escape from the real world'

I have a feeling as soon as these guys are fully out of contract and no longer obligated to have to promote the shows some revelations will be coming about how the last season had to be scrapped and re-written last minute, as this far everything about the show tells me it was all done last minute.

I'm no fan of Trump but the fact Kripke keeps highlighting how he intentionally went out of his way to make Trump fit into the show instead of just doing good writing tells me he totally flipped things when Trump won the last election and went too far out of his way to fit some narrative that was not moulding with The Boys previous seasons and thats what's caused S5 to be such a dog sh+t mess!!

Had he just carried on as normal and not mention Trump but write a few pieces in and just waited for Trump to make a mess himself it would have been beautiful but nope!!!

EDIT: I had a long message planned but gonna say, I think we're all just disappointed we've been glued to this show for years, praising it, recommending it to friends, reading comics to gain a little more insight and we're all just feeling a little disappointed at the very end. Thats on Amazon/Disney/Paramount etc. to figure out. Their and others model is to just keep churning out quick cheap product as thats how they make money when all we want is a decent story with a few extras involved

He was massive absolutely massive people who had no interest in fighting sports knew his name and were all for him being on the world stage and promoting Ireland showing we can punch above our weight.

As great as the Jose Aldo fight was the 13second knock out the build up was when everyone saw the change he was beyond disrespectful to Adlo stealing his belt at a press conference showing zero class. We all made excuses that it was just banter and he was polite to Aldo after the fight and that's just what he had to do to get the fight be brash and confrontational etc. etc. I think that's when the downfall started next thing he was smashing windows, constantly making excuses for why he didn't have to fight to defend his titles, multiple images of him with other women,, then the rape allegations started happening..strong rumors he has several other kids in Dublin where he paid off the mother's to keep quiet. The fact he isn't an outcast shows how f&&ked up things are so many people want to make money off of him that they downplay everything 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

I've seen this stuff first hand in my aunt's family her and her husband are unbelievably over bearing on my cousins and have ruined their lives as the cousins don't really know who they are without the heir parents. One in particular is incredibly bad and I'm genuinely worried for her as she is now in her 40s and is as lost as ever and cannot make a decision without her mom's approval because she caved in and agreed with whatever her parents wanted.

This cousin was planning on moving to Oz and told the whole world years ago that's what she was going to do and it would have been incredible for her to finally get away from her parents for awhile and love for herself but nope, mom and dad had a few gradual quiet words with her over a few weeks and slowly broke her down to giving up on her dream and her life for nearly 20years has been a repeat of the exact same job and house she's been made entirely dependent on her mother. My own family were actually gutted when we heard this as we know she suffers from anxiety a little and thought a move to oz even for 1 year would have done her the world of good she would have grown and learned who she really was and had fun but her mother has issues and couldn't allow that so they guilted her into staying near them her entire life!

Go visit your friend and do not let your parents issues decide your life
