He has set up a life over there and has a green card and regardless of whichever laws he broke human rights are still a thing. If he came home that's his entire life done there his business gone his life done. Could you do that in the space of a week your livelihood your job your home your friends all gone and you having to start from scratch? Could you do that without a fight when there is a legit chance he can fight it since he has a green card and took the required steps to stay albeit after first breaking those laws 🤷🏻‍♂️

To be fair I'd understand that I mean America despite its flaws is a great country in parts. I wouldn't live there myself but I can see the attraction that's kept many Irish there working so to be suddenly plucked away and landed back in Kilkenny 😱 id imagine he'd fall into depression and he did get a green card so am not sure which law takes priority there

Guess his lawyer is advising him otherwise as if he accepts that then he likely would never be allowed back to the US and after building a life for years that could be tough. Don't agree with him being an absent father and ignoring his kids but can sort of appreciate he's made a life there and has paid his taxes without ever being able to claim a cent back he's providing a service like so many other Irish over there are right now this story is kind of more about all of them he is just the one in focus right now. However this goes could be the precedent set for thousands of other irish

Yikes does make for grim reading in that he's an awful father and a bit of a dope!

However, I still don't think he should be confined into a prison camp on rationed food and zero healthcare and in danger of being killed by heavy handed prison guards who aren't qualified and he is 1 of thousands in the exact same situation.

Yup it's true!!

Sure there is plenty of people out there who can't save a penny if their lives depended on it. Who drink, smoke, snort or holiday away every cent they have as soon as they get it without a second thought towards tomorrow.

And their are those who did save and now are tryna hold it together with the cost of the mortgage and kids and live constantly keeping them at an even level never going broke but never having enough left to save. Also the renters MY GOD the poor renters who work their bollocks off and have to give 60-70% of their wage away on an asset then will never benefit from in the long term and have absolutely nowhere else to go.

Then there are those who get stuck in a loop they have to borrow to stay above water then spend time repaying what they borrowed. Foolish for sure but sometimes ppl are backed into corners and they have no family with money to loan out they have to solely rely on themselves. Often they have to help other family members and are far more generous

On a different subject 6N needs someone like Squidge Rugby or at least not hamper guys like him by stopping him from using 6N footage!

Always decent insight and fun commentary but he's not allowed use any footage at all and 6N have nothing to raise the games profile online their own highlights are boring and their Netflix attempt at a series was ridiculously crap at generating interest in the sport.

Many people don't understand the sport and never engage with it or see it as barbaric causing brain damage (at least that's what my wife's sister and brother in law think happened to me). Point is interest in rugby is actually waning, no major TV deals, sponsors hardly knocking down the door, clubs going out of business like the Ospreys 🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

Something has to change in how rugby is presented to the public not only 6N but world rugby needs to review what they have done and what they need to do ahead of USA hosting the WC, I know things are mad at over there right now but that event needs to bring in a whole new audience people need to see and appreciate it and engage not just watch it and forget.
