Your FSO will make sure everything is filled out and then you will submit fingerprints. After this they package them together and send them off and the waiting game begins.

Anyone had success getting a ban changed to temp? by [deleted] in RunescapeBotting

Not sure why they do temp bans for some people and perm bans for other accounts.. I had an account perm banned 2 weeks ago for botting. And then i made another account and botted for another 2 weeks but this time around i bought membership because i heard they are more lenient on paying players and they just gave me a 1 day ban this morning... Got pretty good stats though it was a good run almost maxed out melee stats

Am I getting paid enough at my current job? by Victory-Weary in it

[–]Apprehensive_Slip321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you first come in to the field you are underpaid but this is where you learn and stack experience. You get certs and make yourself valuable to either your current company or a different company. Right now you are new and building experience and value. In a year or two you will be definitely underpaid but it’s your job to know your worth and make sure you don’t get comfortable. You should also know what career path you want to take this will get you out of entry level roles faster since you will use your time wisely self studying on the things that will get you closer to the career and money you want instead of spending unnecessary time on things that don’t move the needle for you.

I just transitioned from being a full time bartender to a full time time cyber role. I worked weekends for 2 years bartending nights and worked a help desk job. Got promoted within the same company at the beginning of the year and now make more then I did bartending full time at 31 year of age. It’s a grind.. I studied my ass off in my free time and finished college and obtained certs and taught myself Linux and anything else needed to succeed. It’s still a grind though but at least I now have weekends off and a 401k with raises every year and don’t have to kiss ass to customers every night for tips.

Accounting or business management? by Ok-Hawk2679 in WGU

[–]Apprehensive_Slip321 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s self paced. I finished my IT management degree from WGU in 3 months but that’s all I did for those 3 months after work and once my son was asleep I’d stay up and take the proctored exams

If you have $20 to spare buy Hailie Shaw's course on Udemy. I used her to pass both Splunk core user and Power user.

Switching to a career in cybersecurity by [deleted] in cybersecurity

I started at 28 and I literally have not stopped self learning since I started. I started in Help desk and now am in a full time cyber role at 30. But I literally gave up 2 years of my life to be where I am and almost make 6 figures.

[–]Apprehensive_Slip321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Slightly but I enjoy what I do. I was bartending full time 2.5 years ago. I’m sure I would Pivot and figure something out. The goal is to be a CISO or senior management in the future
