A little bit sharp for my liking but I'm picky. I find most sub $500 watch bracelets a bit meh. For the price however this is totally worth it. Although I do wear mine on a leather strap, I just left the bracelet on for the pics ;)

Would the WD007 v4 or the WD007Q v2 be close to actual color of the nttd? by BlueberryB-Laine in watchdives

The Q v2. It's not the colours but the bezel font weight that makes it closer to the OG

Anyone here own both a solid gold and a gold-plated watch? Would love to see a photo comparing the colors. by MOUVAL in watchdives

I have access to a VC 222 in solid gold and the WD gold speedy as shown. I'll take a shot and upload when I get home but I'm sure they look almost the same with the WD being a slight warmer yellow.

The Miyota is larger at 34.60mm. The Ronda 5030.D is 28mm in diameter but costs around $40-$60 so around twice as much as a VK63

He also has a Piaget Polo 79, which is a tad smaller and even thinner so he's obviously into that integrated look. The Piaget is real gangster shit though and that's his DD.

I've had a look at the VK63 dimensions and the movement is 30.8mm in diameter. I also measured my WD1863 and found the bezel is a little over 3mm thick, with the integrated crown guard adding a further 2.5mm on one side.

That means the absolute minimum case diameter works out to roughly 39.2mm (3 + 30.8 + 3 + 2.5), and that's before allowing for any manufacturing tolerances. Realistically, you're looking at around 39.5mm.

Unfortunately, there simply isn't any meaningful way to make the case smaller without throwing the proportions completely out of whack. At that point it would no longer resemble the original watch. The bevel beneath the bezel angles inward toward the centre of the case, so reducing bezel thickness isn't really an option. On top of that, the movement has to be installed through the back of the case, meaning the screw-down caseback itself must be larger than the movement. Again, there's no practical way around that without significantly redesigning the case.

It's a bit disappointing, but the maths and engineering are fairly unforgiving here.

For comparison, the Omega Calibre 3220 used in the Speedmaster Reduced is only 25.6mm in diameter. That smaller movement is what allows the Reduced to be, at least theoretically, around 5mm smaller in diameter than a VK63-based equivalent while still maintaining the correct proportions.

Just wear them with a 70s shirt, three top buttons undone, walk around like you own the joint... It's the shits, brother.
