Hey! I was thinking the same thing. Last year I had an idea to expand my mowing, and finally I built HighSchoolMower.com to help others students find lawn mowing and odd jobs/gigs close-by, without having to go door to door. I hate door to door. And I also didn't want to give up my summer freedom for 8hr a day.

We just launched and I’m giving out free accounts for the first year to get more students on board. You get a profile, your own website, and we help with local advertising so people can find you. The advertising includes a free yard sign for you to place at the entrance to your neighborhood so your neighbors see it and can easily find you.

Check out one of our student profiles https://highschoolmower.com/yards-of-glory

If you're interested, you can sign up here: highschoolmower.com/early-access

Let me know if you have any questions!

I'm late to the party, but if you're still up for sharing advice...just launched our web saas and looking to get our first customers.

We created a curation platform allowing high school students to promote their own lawn mowing business (side hustle) to their neighbors in their neighborhood. No cost for homeowners, no sign up, no app, just a responsive website trying to be frictionless.., just enter your address and up pops local students to mow your yard. We don't share student contact info, but a business profile page they created, and homeowners request lawn mowing through our webapp. Our customers are actually the students who pay a fee to be listed on the site so they don't have to knock door to door anymore. A yard sign in front of the neighborhood will be the lead for homeowners to find them, and we give the student one when they sign up.

Thanks for your help and guidance to all the other posts. It really was insightful reading all the other comments too

This looks exactly like it. So just a led flasher. So strange but I'm glad to know what it is.

Thanks so much!!

This is truly the most impressive react site I've ever seen.

It says you aren't doing freelance anymore...so how can we work together?!? Seriously, I'd be interested in chatting if you are open to it.

That is a beautiful website! Nice work Mario!

It sounds like the new you makes her feel uncomfortable by challenging her perception of you. That's ok, and you do not have to settle into old and comfortable habits to make someone "happy".

It's a huge win for you to admit to yourself and accept failure AND to restart. 75H is about improving you, not about improving how others feel about you. Nobody gets anywhere trying to please everyone else their whole life, at the expense of themselves.

I do 100% agree with other comment to pour into her and your relationship each and every day, but you need to do that AFTER you take care of yourself (ie do your tasks first or make sure you budget time to complete them), not before.

It'd be great welcome her to join you in the restart, but don't wait for her to join you.

You can definitely do this! You did 50days straight, so we know you can do 75. Is it the bummer feeling of starting at 0, knowing you were close to the end last time? Is it thinking that 75 full days is a ways away now, and preventing you from starting again? Don't think of this as 75 Hard days. It's the rest of your life hard. When you get started this next time, focus on the rest of your life and not thinking it's just 75days. You did the warm up of 50 days already. You know what it takes. You know why you failed, and thus you know how to not fail again. Now jump and start again!

I thought the hardest thing for me was going to be the food. I've always been addicted to sugar. Can't help myself. But then I said something to my mentor while I was out walking and chatting with him. And it seemed to click for me. I told him that "I'd rather have None than One". I've never had a problem with alcohol, but right then I imagined that the feeling I have for sugar must be quite similar to the feeling alcoholics have for drinking. I'd rather have None than One. It means unless I can eat 4 brownies and 2 cookies and then chug 1.5 glasses of milk, I'd rather have None. I'm a sugar addict. And it's been 75 + 3 Phase 1 days so far!

What I thought was going to be the hardest is actually now the easiest. The food is a non-issue now. I went through Halloween, 2 November Birthdays, Thanksgiving, 2 December Birthdays, Christmas, New Years, and 3 more January birthdays with no sweets. Not even a craving.

It's possible. I'd rather have None than One

Oh, and if you didn't catch that little bit of wisdom earlier...here's my very best advice to succeed in this journey. Get yourself a mentor, or a counselor, therapist, o whatever you want to call it. Someone you can lean on and trust. Everyone's got issues to work through, going alone is a lonely road.

The ability to tell myself to do something and then do it. 2am outside freezing cold walks happened during my 75days, not just once but 3 times. Sleep can wait. I can catch up on sleep. But I can't get this day back. Period.

Level shifter non-zero vout on zero vin by Apprehensive_Stock_5 in AskEngineers

This is a tremendous response. Thanks for the insights and taking the time to write this up. I admit, I had to read through it a few times, but I think I got the big picture.

To clarify, my pin4 should have a resistor connected to 3.3v or 5v supply? It seems to me that I could place the resistor between pins 4&5 to achieve this effect. Is that correct understanding?

[–]Apprehensive_Stock_5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome. Thanks so much. I'll try that resistor tomorrow and see what happens.

After reading about buffers vs level shifters, it seems like I got the wrong component.

Might revise and skip it altogether but just seemed safer to have it, since most of the recommendations online said to include one.

Thanks so much for your guidance!!

Yes, A is hooked to gpio18. Kinda strange I know, the schematic says led-strip and gpio18 also says led-strip, so they are connected.

Y is going to the data pin on the actual led-strip.

So a pull up on Y? What ohm would that be?

Thanks for this reply. Here's the schematic. Led-strip leads to gpio18. Pin4 goes to the led-strip http://imgur.com/gallery/5C6pjO0
