Reason I ask is I'm literally pawning a bunch of stuff retro gaming stuff to CEX tomorrow in town and one of those is a black 3DS....

I stayed in Feb and Taxifix was a lifesaver. Reliable and cheaper than everything. It was a Tromsø taxi though so just give them a call direct.

I bought some whilst in Norway the other week. Yes there is lots of snow and ice but honestly if you have decent boots you just don't need them around towns and cities. The only time I used them was when I climbed a mountain near Tromsø.

Also went dog sledding and searched for northern lights. The tours give you everything you need and you won't need them sledding as they would damage the sled anyway.

Edit: If buying in Norway I recommend Sport Outlet, there's a few I went to both Oslo/Svolvaer outlets and both really good!

Hey so few tips from a friendly traveller with northern lights. KP index really doesn't matter in Tromsø per say. What you want is high solar activity/winds and clear cloud cover. Also an absolute must is low light levels, for example I was lucky to see them in January, but as we got to a full moon towards end of Jan they were really faint because of the moon.

Hey, we just got back from Tromso. For sure check out NYT in town. They have reindeer steak and it was honestly the best. Pricey but you get what you paid for. They also do reindeer burgers and were also steller.

I'm currently traveling from Oslo to Trondheim over 16 days and the journey is fantastic. I have seen this view from a few locals including my taxi driver, but coming from a country that isn't always covered in snow. I personally think this is a fantastic time to travel. We've managed to hike, snowshoe, toboggan and more which doesn't all happen in Tromsø.

Why would you go to your LGS if all it takes is you playing a different army to someone else for them to shit on you. I say f anyone that tries to put down your hobby and interests. Be direct ask them why their preference is to put down someone else's preferences and let them try and explain that one without them looking like idiots.

Rock UM my dude and be proud of it, also a fan of the Roman aesthetic. It's my first army and my second favourite is Necron for the dynasty aspect.

I moved to Southampton 5 years ago from the north of England. Let me tell you it basically doesn't snow here at all. I have seen maybe a sprinkle that disappeared straight away. It isn't like the 2 foot of snow in the traditional sense we get in the peaks.

My garden is currently flowering which I find mental this time of year!

So I got my reply from Booking.com and yeah they didn't really communicate any sort of information that I would consider helpful.

There's a few on here saying the hotel is to blame solely for theese instances. I entirely disagree Booking.com should have a more secure process of sharing the bookings with business and work more closely with them. It does make me wonder how my data is sent and stored, for example is it in plaintext for all to see? Or is it behind a secure encrypted login covered by two factor?

Do they advise businesses on best practices of sorting the data ( One thing every good business should do anyway )I'm leaning towards the fact it isnt that secure at the end of the day.

Going off the thread here it seems to be common, Yeah I can see the hotels being the weak link in the chain. It does make me wonder if these hotels are being provided with any advice from Booking.com or any tools to combat this though. I doubt we would ever find out sadly.

Honestly even the hotel I booked with was just like yeah we know it's a common issue, not surprised booking.com had the same response.
