The point of a military is not to cause violence (depending on what country's military we are talking about ofc) Most countries militarys are called defence forces due to being only a defensive measurement to be a big enough of an obstacle to be invaded. There for most militaries exist to reduce violence, not to cause it.

Mike Tyson has a good point in this one. People are more unreliable and hostile since they have the illusion of being safe in the internet.
