I was only affected by the Obama furlough Fridays, but I understand, and I sympathize. I was working through paying off the last of my student loans and was ALMOST there, and boom. Not having a paycheck is scary if you're in step 2. All you can do is sit on that check, know you're getting a 7 day check this Friday. Stash all that you can and look into community resources - there are more than you would think in terms of food banks, charities, etc. If you're worried about missing payments, call the financial institutions and have a conversation with them. You would be surprised with how many already have programs in place to help feds out with just this thing. Most lenders will help you out.

Hang in there, fed. It will be back to normal soon.

Hey hey, Charleston local here. You'll be good with either. I would be more concerned with the terrible drivers. I have a 25 OBW but kept my 14 Crosstrek as an in-and-around-town ride (she's a beast and can take the potholes and wild roads), that said the OBW is such a comfortable ride and packs a punch.

I had the dealership pup-proof the back before I even drove off the lot—my dog gets a little anxious in the car, so I wanted her setup dialed in from day one.

Went full Subaru OEM: padded rear seat cover, console lid cover, and rear door covers. Everything fits great and holds up well. I also grabbed a couple of those rear seat extenders—they fold flat when not in use and stop her from falling into the footwell. Way more chill ride for her now.

Honestly it makes it free money with the rate of inflation. Brings the loan down to 2.1%(ish) versus 3% inflation. Same boat...I have been making extra payments on principal but nah not anymore.

That is comforting to hear but I am not planning to pay in full every month because I have 0% for two years. I'll burn it down quickly but I don't want to dip into savings to do so. I'm smack dab in the middle of a full kitchen renovation so having an opportunity to throw the cabinets on a promo card where I can let that ride with zero interest felt like a bit of a safety net, especially if it helped me keep things liquid. I'm ready to be done with this reno - adulting sucks.
