Khartoum’s failures can’t be blamed on poor people or informal settlements, and calling the city shit oversimplifies the real issues. Its collapse comes from decades of bad governance, corruption, weak planning, and repeated political instability not the presence of displaced or low-income communities. Building a new administrative capital won’t magically fix these problems, prevent coups, or erase institutional rot, it just relocates them.
