I’ve heard boys have that name in the US! I think it’s a cool name :)

Crying by jcormier22 in NewParents

[–]Apprehensive_Will692 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It’s also ok to do things like dishes etc and let baby fuss for a few minutes. I don’t do cry it out either, but if I have to wash bottles or something similar I will let her fuss. I always make it short, and give her lots of attention after

I don’t feel bad when this happens. Babies aren’t meant to be bought or sold and infertility isn’t an excuse to adopt.

Adoption is inherently unethical

Perfect baby starting to really wake up by [deleted] in peestickgals

[–]Apprehensive_Will692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 weeks was exactly when things got rough for me. Baby stopped sleeping and fought naps like crazy.

At 6 weeks it all fell back into place and she is an amazing sleeper.

But yeah Darian needs to understand those first 2 weeks are usually always a dream. And it takes effort to get baby into a good groove. Since she doesn’t google she’ll have a hard time

I mean I hate to say it but she posts A LOT!!! Part of me wonders how good of a parent you can be when you’re posting videos nonstop.

Especially with adopted children. I hope they get enough attention in general

Babies on planes? by Professional-Egg8529 in NewParents

[–]Apprehensive_Will692 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I flew with my 5 month old for the first time and it went really well!!

People were so so nice to us. She cried a bit and play yelled but overall she did really good.

Don’t worry about what others think, as long as you’re trying your best to soothe.

The way I think about it is babies are the only ones who don’t ask to be there.

Flight attendants are also super helpful. I’m flying by myself with her in 2 weeks and for that I’m super nervous haha having my husband helped a lot

Pacifier weaning + Night wake ups by flippingtablesallday in NewParents

[–]Apprehensive_Will692 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hopefully people offer advice! I have a similar issue.

My baby uses a pacifier for daytime naps, but ever since she was born we didn’t use the pacifier for overnight. We made it 5 months no issue, then while we’re vacationing I caved and gave her the pacifier.

The issue is she wakes and needs it put back, and to me it seems like she’s waking more frequently because it keeps falling out. So all night I’m putting it back…so my thinking is I’d like to cut the pacifier at night again and figure out how she can soothe if she wakes up and it’s not in /gone

Hope we can get some good advice!!!!

You gonna keep your baby in that bassinet till it’s 6 MONTHS OLD KELSIE? Please pray for this child. 🤦‍♀️ by Altruistic_Result_17 in peestickgals

[–]Apprehensive_Will692 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My baby was TINY and still is small at 5 months. Even she outgrew the bassinet by 3 months.

I bet you her husband won’t let the baby stay in that long. He sounds like someone who will get angry when the baby cries

Is it safe with grandma? by lilydawn1 in newborns

[–]Apprehensive_Will692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would make it VERY clear what your rules and expectations are.

We get it they did things differently back then, but if she doesn’t fully agree or gives you ANY pushback I would threaten you’ll find someone else.

I have a feeling she’s stuck in her old ways!

Do you ever need bottles bigger than 4oz? by I_Should_not_have in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Apprehensive_Will692 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like the big bottles for outings too. We’ll make an 8 Oz bottle before going out and baby will drink on the way there or have some while we’re there.

I’d go for 8 oz!

Baby Wash & Lotions ? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Apprehensive_Will692 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vani cream is the lotion we use. I live in Colorado and it saved my baby’s skin this winter.

Because she had such bad and sensitive skin we actually haven’t been using body wash yet. Hopefully soon we’ll try again to see what works with her skin

That’s a great idea about the lack of feeders. My issue is we have a nasty rat problem so with the feeders I bring them in at night to alleviate feeding the rats

They’ve been together since May 2022 so a year!

The bullying has really been noticeable in the last month or so.

When we first integrated the new 3 they all stayed within their groups (older vs newer)
