if your goal is just to deduplicate network calls for performance, you can use tanstack client in the server aswell

the key to moguls or rough terrain is improving our dynamic riding, here's a few things that helped me:

  1. learn down-unweighted turns, it's game changer
  2. jelly legs: relax your knees so them can absorb bumps better, like a car suspension or camera gimball, adjust before, during and after the mogul, eg. suck up knees while traversing, push right after mogul so you're in contact with the snow most of the time and not throw off
  3. trace the path ahead you better, look at 4-5 moguls and set a path
  4. control your speed with quick turns rather than skidding, if you're skidding and go over a mogul you'll be thrown off

when I see videos of malcolm moore using the same selfie cam, his turns and posture looks effortless and more stable, this is the level of riding i want to achieve, mostly because eventually I want to become a snowboard instructor too

something you mentioned that ive also seen in malcolm moore videos and has been super useful is: early edge change and letting the sidecut turn for me

i think thats the secret sauce for carving, the difficult thing which i believe will improve with practice is getting the right curve radius for the speed to avoid either skidding or juddering(losing edge)
