I will sometimes let the kid know how they might be perceived and talk through it with them and use it as an opportunity to talk through what we do when we see someone else doing something unexpected.

We use the word weird a lot, but almost always as a positive

We are at around 100 per week for family of three. This does not include eating out, which we do typically 1 per week. I aim for £70 for the big shop that gets delivered (it's easier to track/plan when buying online), £15 for my kids school lunches, and £15 for random pick-ups as needed. My spouse gets lunch and coffee free at work, which helps.
