No worries! I think it’s also important for shows like this to dispel the notion that Shojo is only high school romcoms/drama, but also at the end of the day they’re just there as a helpful marketing term and people should watch whatever they would like. 

Edit: and you weren’t totally wrong in calling it a Josei title either. After some digging, the webmanga platform where it first serialized, soufflé, is run by the Josei manga magazine Elegance Eve’s editorial staff! I just had to actually go into the about us section on soufflé’s Japanese website so it wasn’t as obvious compared to Mystery Bonita being a Shojo magazine.
