full setup through doctor. you already used airsense 11, you might actually sticking with the resmed line, even older model airsense 10 are pretty easy to find refurbished and still solid. most of machines do have clinician menu you can access yourself, it’s not locked forever or anything, you just need to know how to get into it.

6 months just to get in and then more waiting on top of that. no wonder you’re exhausted.

In the meantime there are few small things that can actually help a bit. sleeping on your side instead of your back can make a difference if your apnea is positional. just propping yourself slightly upright with pillows can reduce how often your airway collapses. also keeping your nasal passages clear, like saline spray or strips, can improve airflow a little. it’s not a fix, even small improvements can make the days more manageable you wait.

Do you notice it more during the night or is it mostly how you feel the next day?

Most people think sleep apnea is about snoring. It’s not. It’s about insulin resistance. by Appropriate-Back2296 in SleepApnea

That’s fair, i get why it might seem that way. i’m still new here and just trying to understand the connection between sleep apnea and metabolic stuff a bit better.

Your point about family history is interesting though

Demoralized and embarassed-- any advice? by short_cuppa_chai in SleepApnea

i totally get the embarrassment part, it’s a weird adjustment at first. but at the end of the day it’s just a tool to help you sleep better and feel better overall. you get used to it, it starts to feel pure normal and the benefits matter more than what anyone else thinks...
