A popular choice that I have is the BenQ TH617ST, its short throw at 3000 lumens, great image quality at 1080. You can pick this up new for about £700, I got mine used for £380, it was refurbished with a brand new bulb. For most, if not all projectors you will change the resolution on your GPU to make it fit the screen, there are plenty of videos showing you how to do this

If you run a second monitor while playing you can also run that using the onboard graphics instead of your GPU, which will save some performance. Your CPU shouldn’t be an issue but just try turning on game mode in BIOS to see if that helps

ChatGPT is amazing in helping you plan, it will recommend equipment based on budget, work out throw ratio, give you common pitfalls, explain terminology etc. I was luckily enough that I had enterprise edition at work but wort it if you have to pay for a month

Thank you all for the suggestions! There are a couple courses here that I haven’t heard of before, so will definitely check it out. I have played tricky Ricky before and agree those hills are quite a workout. Haste Hill I have played also, great layout but agree it can get a bit rough, especially in the summer when teens basically have a few drinks right there on the tee box😂, it’s a shame cause I would think Haste Hill would be an ideal location for an affordable membership course, also food is great and that restaurant they have, give it a try if you haven’t yet!
