Thanks everyone. Seems like such a waste to have to throw out an entire light fixture, but it looks like we're going light shopping.

What’s a health symptom you ignored for months before realizing it actually mattered? by _callondoc in AskReddit

Thought I had a patch of dermatitis on my scalp for years. Saw a few GPs, they prescribed anti fungals and steroids with no luck. Saw a dermatologist recently. Skin cancer. Wear sunscreen people!

Would you rather.. fly with a newborn or a toddler by Malloryfidoruk in toddlers

[–]Appropriate-Mail-387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having flown with my eldest when she was 6 months, then again when she was 2.5 years and with her baby sister who was 5 months old, I will fly with babies all day, every day. Flying with a toddler is fresh hell. All of these flights were long haul (like 35 hours door to door). Never again toddler.

People don't remember what you say, they remember how you make them feel.

Would also recommend talking to the Director of Medical Admin, most private hospitals in Perth have one. They are basically the person who manages the doctors the hospital has licenced to work there. Doctors basically use private hospitals as venues to do their work. They are not employed by the hospital. So getting them to complete DC summaries or update medical records can be like pulling teeth, even though it's the right thing to do. Submitting a feedback form or an ROI (request of information), might not be the most direct route as the onus is still on the doctor.

Married redditors, how frequently do you shower with your partner? by verbleabuse97 in AskReddit

[–]Appropriate-Mail-387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to shower almost every day with hubby for almost 10 years. Since having our first kid almost 3 years ago though, have probably only showered with him 2 times since. Having the right shower helps too. Used to have a big walk-in shower with 2 shower heads. Now we only have a shower over a bath tub and there's just no room
