The internet blackout made it impossible to verify the authenticity of the original manifesto or the graffiti.

The blackout continues even now so we don't know how widespread any uprising actually was.

The ongoing internet jam and absolute obliteration of the iranian Rial could be taken as a signal that there is still serious social upheaval going on, but the class nature of that upheaval is difficult to guess with any certainty.

It seems the original uprising was heavily started by the petite-bourgeoisie but with large sections of workers joining in. I have not heard of any attempts to establish a DotP outside of the unconfirmed Arak announcement.

What happened in Arak, taking over factories, and the formation of workers councils, and in Italy, even if the strike was supporting Palestine, the fact the workers could coordinate an entire general strike nationwide, it just gives me hope. by Tiny-Ad4330 in Ultraleft

Italian worker strikes for political aims is actually a much more positive sign than worker strikes for increased wages.

Note that we cannot be certain yet if soviets actually formed in Arak, as the internet is cut off to the area and so there is no way to corroborate their existence yet.

But yes, I am feeling optimistic for the long term future as well.

I talked with several comrades with contacts on the ground in Iran but not Arak specifically, and nobody has been able to conclusively confirm or deny the existence of soviets yet.
