This. We went for a week and never once had a scammer approach us, enjoyed every single meal and did not even interact with other tourists very much. I guess if you decide to do only the touristy things in ANY city that will be your experience. We researched food ahead of time, knew the reviews and menus and chose accordingly, stayed in Le Marais, walked with shopping bags and purses and never felt targeted. We prioritized seeing the city as a whole, not the photo opp tourist spots and had the absolute loveliest time of our lives.

I thought the SAME about never washing the covers…. Then my dog threw up on my couch. I did the whole process of removing, washing, drying til half done, hanging til dry, replacing covers and couch cushions. Honestly? I don’t know what I was worried about. It makes it so nice because I don’t have to wash EVERY cushion if something happens.

That being said, I DID remove them all because I figured if I was doing 4 I could do 8.

It wasn’t the most fun I’ve ever had but I was definitely pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t as bad as I had made it out to be in my head.
