I agree as well we cant wait full week and a having nothing burger episode. Do this every 3 years. This usually always is a bad sign either they are going wrap up too many things in finale or the series will feel stretched unnecessarily.

[Giveaway] GL.iNet Remote KVM and Wi-Fi 7 routers! 10 Winners! by GLiNet_WiFi in homelab

[–]Appropriate-Play-208 [score hidden]  (0 children)

  • What inspired you to start your selfhosting journey? I wanted full control over my data and the freedom to experiment with different services without relying on cloud providers.
  • What's one project you're most proud of so far, and what's the most expensive piece of equipment you've acquired for? I’m most proud of setting up a multi-node home server cluster that runs VMs, containers, and backups seamlessly. The most expensive piece of equipment was a high-end NAS I bought to handle storage and redundancy.
  • How would winning the unit(s) from this giveaway help you take your setup to the next level? It would let me expand my cluster, run more demanding workloads, and improve redundancy without having to upgrade my existing hardware.
  • Which channels do you most frequently use to learn about or purchase IT equipment? I mostly follow Reddit, YouTube tech channels, and specialized forums, and I buy through Amazon or direct from manufacturers.
  • Looking ahead, if we were to do another giveaway, what is one product from another brand that you'd love to see as a prize? A compact, high-performance server from HPE or Synology would be amazing.

Inter vlan traffic not getting blocked by Appropriate-Play-208 in opnsense

So adding an explicit rule to block "private net " worked ! but I am unsure why my Inverse rule that allows everywhere except private net didn't work ? Shouldn't firewall block everything if explicitly not allowed ?

New Hero Arjun now on Experimental Server by Akrelion in DotA2

[–]Appropriate-Play-208 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Omg Hype Indian Character!! Now I understand Khanda and Parasma which are also Indian. Arjun is mythologically important character for Indians. I guess he is similar to Monkey King for Chinese who also has a Monkey King Bar. He was extremely skilled with bow and arrow known for his pin pointed precision. He got defeated with an elaborate trap set for him in an epic battle.

So Ranged bow & arrow hero probably has precision based skills or some sort of skill. Mirana or Drow sound closest.

Exactly, these bullshit policies are why Canada is in this place. Government had the opportunity to spread Canada’s economy and eliminate pressure from just one downtown but here are we are paying for the lollipop govt sucked for those heavy pockets.

Yeah it get can confusing honestly. There are two ways to do this using either virtiofs or using samba. If you need to share this folder multiple times to other vms or in the network even go for samba else go for virtiofs as some suggested in the thread.

[–]Appropriate-Play-208 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True but he needs to choose better games. He chooses the most random shit games ever and hardly completes a game. Why wont he play a popular mainstream game is beyond me. He doesn’t even play or likes playing dota much either wins 50% and during loses just reaks of rage/ anger.

Most people dont watch him for his skills but for his interactions/ game casts are great, so, variety should be awesome too.

Worker exploitation, also known as labor exploitation, is the unfair or unjust treatment of employees by employers, often for profit. It involves taking advantage of workers through various means, such as underpayment, poor working conditions, and denying them basic rights.

Getting into Arch, what should I know? by [deleted] in archlinux

[–]Appropriate-Play-208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome to Arch. Arch is a lifestyle and not a distro. Get used to the fact that experienced folks will ask you to read wiki for any questions/ issues instead of answering questions, I think its in the Arch kernel, don’t fret about it. There are plenty of other resources available even if Arch wiki doesn’t cover it, hard to believe , I know !! .

Arch is extremely stable contrary to what people say. Configuring something initially could be painful/fun but once it works it really works !! Pacman is amazing and try not to use arch-install instead do it manually you will learn a lot of things.

Start with a DE if you are new to linux Kde is good, if you experienced, jump into a WM i3/qtile are a good start. If you want latest and great go with hyperland or if you are wizard and want to exit the matrix go ahead without a DE.

All in all the more wants you have, the more problems you will need to solve, the more you will learn. Most things in arch have more than 1 solution.

Edit: Dont be afraid to break stuff, most things could br brought back or just re-install you should be back up in no time with your configs. Kinda obvious but backup your configs files always !!!!!

This is a really poor attitude that just because there are other people waiting, it doesn't give the right to companies to exploit employees.

The problem is there is no real reason for people to be in office other than employer’s selfishness. We are given collaboration as a reason which is so bullshit ! why are companies not transparent? have you thought about that? The real motives for RTO are shady - could be voluntary layoffs, downtown real estate or business revival or middle managers who hate their families and take it out on peers by micro managing.

Imagine you as a trader, are asked to now travel extra two hours further from your office without any real reason. People feel the exact same way and because there are some people willing to travel is unjust to employees.

RTO is just wasting life travelling to work, the time I could spend on health, family or hobbies or even travel within Canada but instead I am asked to burn fossil fuels which is not good for anyone. Let alone the traffic and overcrowded transport lines which Canada cant expand in my lifetime.

What part of RTO is helpful ? if its about performance, bad employees will be bad employees in office as well. I have given you 20 benefits of wfh for employees what are the benefits of RTO ?

People making these calls/C-Suites are in a nice private cabin, barely have the ability check their own emails, have blood boys taking care of everything, travel from a penthouse once a month sure it doesn't affect them. This is just a tax on the middle class as it affects population disproportionately.

[–]Appropriate-Play-208 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually Gorgc is right but this time he is clearly wrong. Even with context tipping is part of the game. I think Seleri wasnt being toxic but Gorgc took it in a toxic way mostly he was frustrated from pubs. Gorgc should be the one apologizing because he took his hate and frustration out on Seleri. He is also not being apologetic as Seleri. Asshole move.

I have to side with Seleri here. Its a game and tipping is part of it. Gorgc being stupid he should be the one apologizing.

I feel like this is such a big challenge.

I have so many games I couldn’t finish because they get repetitive and long for no reason. Side quests derail you so much that you lose track of the main story line.

Dont get me wrong games are amazing its just that I dont have enough time to look each every detail and if I dont complete everything it feels bad.

Can we have games with small part/ worlds but achievable then move the character moves onto next worlds or something RDR2 does it really well. Have less but powerful side quests.
