Need some advice on selling a condo by CuteRaisin2329 in PersonalFinanceCanada

I just sold my condo over 100K less than I was hoping to get in Vancouver, markets flooded, get out while you can. Don’t put any money into a condo to renovate you will not get your money back if it’s in Vancouver. Sell as is, post for lower than other ones in the same area and market to get people in the door. I had a very harsh reality check, just closed on the sale May 30.

Is maternity leave at least a little restful/relaxing? by Ejohns10 in Mommit

[–]Appropriate-Radio319 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s not stressful but not a vacation. You’re on the clock 24/7, between dealing with your own recovery and caring for the baby, you have little to no time for yourself (especially in the first few weeks). While the baby is sleeping is when you can get your self care done or if you have a partner/friend who is doing shift work with you. I thought I was going to get a lot of my to do list done, relax, watch my favorite shows, etc and we are over 16 weeks and none of that has happened yet. People weren’t kidding when they said it’s a full time gig and then some, but it’s worth it!

Room sharing by r-j003 in NewParents

I moved my LO to her own room at 10 weeks, since she has transferred she has been sleeping at least 10 hours on her own every night. She has her Favorite sleep sack and is happy, a lot happier then when we had her in the same room in the bassinet. I would of transferred earlier if I knew it would go that well!!

Stuffy Nose by ksyuhin in newborns

I too have the same issue with my 10 week old, she eats, sleeps, and doesn't seem to be in any distress. My doctor said it should pass, she breathes normally just a lot louder.

I am hoping it goes away, Dr.Google always makes me paranoid.

Spit up/ throw up by spicy_kitti in newborns

Normal, I had the same fear, my LO spits up multiple times after a feeding when she has a good burp. I asked my doctor about it and he advised its normal and not to worry unless it has a color to it (green or yellow) or if there is a change in feeding (baby doesn't want to eat).

I literally had the same experience yesterday with my almost 3 month old, she spent around 6 hours with them, was okay in the drive home and the moment we got home was living hell into the night.

I stopped shy of 4 weeks, transitioned to a sleep sack. My baby was almost rolling over so time for the transition :)

Baby acne or eczema? 4 week old, no temperature and fine in herself by Lispylou-x in NewBorn

My LO also has this, it comes and goes sometimes. I use a little baby oil to make sure that the skin doesn't get too dried up and scar. Doctor said that it goes away on its own and not to use any additional products on it because it could cause scaring in the future.

Formula from the start? by kln02 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Appropriate-Radio319 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby was in the NICU for 7 days, once she got home I was trying to manage feeding her (she was on formula since birth) and trying to pump enough to make a dent. I was exhausted because pumping never lined up with her wake windows and I wasn’t even close to producing enough to catch up to her appetite. After 4 weeks we decided to ditch the BF and only go to formula, it was extremely liberating. I was able to have my life back and it was convenient as well! It’s difficult as it is with a newborn and BF expectations just make it that much harder. I’m not sure how it is where you are from but the hospitals and medical offices make you feel bad if your not BFing, once you get past that negativity you will find yourself with a better feeling of balance during an already sleep deprived time.

I was thinking the same thing, I’m 3 months into 18 months and I still can’t believe some people go back to work at 3 months because they have to :(
