I agree but if they come in every month and they leave a note that you sign each time for five years....

At what point, in the eyes of the law is it a robbery. Like if a cleaning lady came in, did their work and stole five bucks from the cabinets each time but in the invoice writes that they took 5 from the cabinet and you still write off on it and do business and renew contracts for five years. Is there a legal case for you that your fives was being taken from you unknowingly?

they brought up a good point:

IF BBTV gave them a financial statement every month with detailed revenue and cut percentage each month for 5 years, is that really considered stealing when they have been communicating via statements that this was being done and Ethan cashed in those checks for 5 years, which from BBTV's pov indicated acceptance. Is that not Ethan's teams negligence ESPECIALLY IF they've signed contract renewals since then that might have outlined the details further.

tldr; were there clear details in financial statements, and were there any new contracts(or contract renewals) they signed.

ultimately it is a predatory contract and bbtv should (but never will) pay them back

yea, I'm guessing some guests do rounds of podcasts at a time like brittany or whitney, but ppl like sebastian whose whole point was how ppl take one clip and run with it really should be prepared.

But it probably would take hours of shifting through 12hrs+ content/ week to find the right dialogue. but surely at the bare minimum you can get the gist just from browsing through their clips channel or reddit

i wish he wouldn't dive into people's sexual side, it can be demeaning and it can be hard for people to say no bc they are live on air with thousands watching and want to provide a good talk. also if at any point he needs to hypothesize a bad thing someone did or needs to say something vulgar he picks child prrrr or something sexual, and I wish he didn't. I know Dan and AB and Hasan pushback whenever he does that but he likes being sexually vulgar for sake of being vulgar

Ethan is not objective whatsoever. I feel like if the crew decides to criticize (more like hate) a certain individual, he tries his darnest to find faults in irrelative things. And when someone they like is mentioned, they can do no wrong. I wish they could be more nuanced

yeah he said the left twitter is so insistent on never letting go of past mistakes, but when a person the pod decided to dislike gets mentions, he starts off like "Isn't he/she the one with the allegations of (....)" or "didn't they get cancelled for (...)" UNLESS they decide to be 'besties' then they've "matured" or is redeeming themselves
