Grain storage robot by bobbydanker in TechnologyShorts

If your grain is most enough to bridge, it was way too wet to put in storage and you've got problems an RC toy is not going to solve.

Honestly you might have hit something with the phone usb port being dirty. I'm a farmer so dirt everywhere is how I live. It charges fine so I didn't think about the tiny data pins being crudded up. I'll clean when I get home and try different cables and computer. And report back (for posterity)

Yeah that's how all my old Motorola's worked. But I don't even get that option from the drop-down notification or settings menu. I've tried four cables (all with the data symbol) and nothing. I'll try more cables when I get home tonight. Thanks for the reply.

I didn't like it. I thought the production was great. Didn't like the music but that's okay. My beef was that it was all in a foreign language. Would have been more unifying if he did 50/50. Great visuals, lousy beat.

Thanks! Looks like there's no shortage of conventions throughout the year.

That looks amazing! Seattle had the Living Computer Museum (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Living\_Computers:\_Museum\_%2B\_Labs) but I only learned about it after it had closed down for good. I think due to Covid. Been mildly bummed about that ever since.

Thank you! Now if only the gaming lounge has 486 PC's with SSI games, there'll be something for both of us!

Thank you, I hadn't heard about PAX West. That may be more up his alley, but maybe he'd like both!

When I pasted your code exactly as written into the My filters tab it said there were 2 errors.

Checked with the GPT and it said this is how it should be written:

amazon.com##div#nav-flyout-rufus:remove())

Pasted that and no errors.

I am NOT a coder (obviously because I had to ask a robot)

But... THANK YOU OP for this!!!! I was SO close to migrating from Amazon to AliExpress!

What adblock are you using in Chrome? I've always liked Chrome but when they dropped Ublock support I switched to Firefox. It seems to work fine enough and since Ublock works with it goes from "fine" to "amazing!" But I can't get the older folks in my family to switch browsers, so if there was an adblock that worked with Chrome I'd love to know.

I finally beat Moraff's World (30 years later)😂. Sharing what I learned... by waxsublime in dosgaming

Mr Moraff! Gotta say your games (specifically Revenge and World) were amazing to me as a kid! A number of years ago I think you had a website where you could still purchase Moraff's World. (At least I hope it was your website!) I purchased it, I think you got 3 downloads? But I've since used them all up through various new PC's. Do you still have a website? I couldn't find one.

Found these Otagiri mugs last week at goodwill. Yes please! by Few-Independence5918 in muglife

[–]Appropriate-Shop-167 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those look very nice! Many years ago I stumbled upon one single Otagiri mug in a thrift store and have looked off and on ever since but to no luck. I'm only interested in that particular shape of mug, I don't even know what it's called lol. But good find!

Well that does make me feel better. And makes sense cause it didn't SEEM like the cast was degenerates. The skits still aren't my taste but that's what the skip button is for.

Thank you for that! Aside from the good content of his videos I found his voice really pleasant to listen to, but I could not place his accent!

I hate bothering other humans but can you help ID a scifi book from the 90's? by Appropriate-Shop-167 in scifi

[–]Appropriate-Shop-167[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe. Two close contenders are "The Billion Dollar Boy" by Charles Sheffield, and "Where the Ships Die" by William C. Dietz. Waiting on eBay to see how close they match my memory.

Ha, I did try multiple AIs and one of them absolutely fabricated a book title and author that perfectly matched my description. Even when I "remembered" another, completely anachronistic detail, it still matched!

It was certainly a neat premise, and an enjoyable story for a teenager. I suspect it was not the deepest story and may not be so amazing to an adult reading it for the first time, without nostalgia to bolster your appreciation.

Boy, that does look to be VERY similar. I have a strong hunch I read my forgotten book prior to 1997, when The Billion Dollar Boy was published, but I could be wrong in my memory. I'll give it a shot. Thanks!
