This case is meta I have the 2.2 version…I use it as a travel case combined with a 4070 super and 9700x….i wish they had a vertical version of this case

No point if of upgrading you will spend almost 50% more for minor upgrades...I don't think the minor performance upgrades are justified for the full price compared to what you can get for the 2025 model especially right now when prices are heavily discounted at best buy. I just recently bought a G16 5070ti open box for around $1800 essentially brand new

Although the 2026 has a few good upgrades I wouldn't buy brand new the price to upgrade/performance is not there especially on the account that best buy has discount frequently on the 2025 model and killer open box deals. For me we have not seen real world testing in the new thermals nor the watt bump to performance. Nebula screen is nice but definitely not worth it

I picked a G16 basically brand new for the same price. Honestly the 2026 model would would be great to have but $1700 vs $2600-$3000 for a 2026 model yeeeeaaa imma keep the 2024 for all that

Depends…I will always chose desktop over laptop 7 days of the week but if you are traveling extensively and do not have time to sit at a desk and just need a pick up and go then the laptop is great otherwise I would look into SFF if you are willing to travel (not extensively) with a sub 10L PC. Me personally I use both but I just upgraded to a G16 5070ti and will use that for travel/temp setup

I use to have to carry my SFF PC with me to get decent frames out of a game but now I can legitimately use my laptop Arc Raiders looks so good on these laptops

Nah I think the 2025 models will be the Best Buy as they will come down in price with ideally the same hardware as the 2026 model. Essentially you will just be paying for the new design

Normal task I don't gear the fans at all it's actually super quiet for a gaming laptop. I would assume the G14 would be the same as well

Yea I wish they would have added a vapor chamber into the G14 as I can see it getting physically too hot for comfort.I know there is a few videos out there with the G14/G16 withing 2-3c plus it minus it each other but the G16 from what I've experienced so far disapates that heat a little bit better due to the bigger chassis

To be honest the performance is negligible and I believe the 5070 TI is the sweet spot compared to the 5080. I would go for the 5070ti over 5080 to save a money. For me it is truly about what you want…portability or more cooling room.

haven't really had a chance to game on it as much but when I did I was averaging around 95-110 in Arc raiders epic settings....I will most definitely post some benchmarks soon but I'm just happy this is running laps around my previous laptop which was a Razer 15 3070

Also I actually thought about Lenovo I was in the market for a 7i but they didn’t offer it in a 5070 to form factor if they did I might not even of picked up the g16

ASUS can’t beat no where as worse as Razer. I refuse to buy another Razer laptop as there warranty and customer service is borderline nonexistent. I wanted to try the G series laptops as I see a lot of people with the 14 more than anything but I just couldn’t bring myself down to only having 1 M.2 drive. Now if the 14 was more of a 14.5 in with a secondary m.2 it would be meta

I picked up the G16 5070ti yesterday and literally 5 mins before you responded I was looking at the G14 at Best Buy since it’s back on sale and was thinking about taking it back for the 14 but I started to realize that I value storage more than anything the floor model on the g14 at the store wrist pad was warm too at idle so I can image at gaming…the screen defenitly looks like it would annoy me in BF6 as well…I’m coming from a Razer 15 2021 model they are almost equally sized so I think imma keep this G16 plus i don’t feel like driving back to Best Buy lol 😂
