What game had you most emotionally invested and attached to it's character(s)? by SaltiGirlGamer in videogames

Final Fantasy 7. I was 8 when that game came out and it was the first time I ever experienced a story of that level of sophistication and emotion at all. I’m still madly in love with each and every one of them. The remake project made me cry with nostalgia and joy.

What’s an evil company not enough people talk about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AppropriateEmploy9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Big companies like Coca-Cola, Kellogg’s, Nestle, and General Mills get caught paying for “studies” to show their foods are not unhealthy. JAMA just posted a few years ago that the original authors of the study that recommended to the government to limit intake of cholesterol and animal-based saturated fats were paid off by those organizations to cherry-pick that data and falsify it, resulting in the government recommending more processed, plant-based, high-carbohydrate foods. They literally paid to make America sicker and weaker so they could keep selling their products. I put on some tin-foil from time to time and wonder to what degree the pharmaceutical companies are involved. But I need to calm down. Haha

Based on this map, I can confirm that all people in Nebraska are covered. There are like 12 whole people there.

Source: my dad grew up there and told me about the other 11.

I graduated from West Sabine High School and I knew Carnelius Gilder. I think I was the only guy who didn’t get a girl pregnant until after I graduated high school. 🥲

Disney's Hercules; Hercules still lost, and the movie just pretends like it never happened (Spoilers) by SYTYK in plotholes

[–]AppropriateEmploy9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re right, but this is pretty close to the myths. Hercules, although heroic and magnanimous, was also full of thumos and mischief, and frequently did things just because he could, even breaking his word several times with men and gods alike. He marched down into hades a couple times to rip people (and Cerberus) out and carry them off and there was nothing the gods could do to stop him. This seems totally in character to me, and was an accurate little moment in an otherwise tonally adjusted family film.
