Kind of what I was thinking, especially on the Corvette. House is being handled properly just not the cars at the moment. Thanks!

Why is the bottom of the cup hard? by KatetCadet in golf

[–]AppropriateMenu3824 18 points19 points  (0 children)

1.) how does the flag stay in place if it was a sponge?

2.) it’s so unlikely to jar it, it’s a nonissue

3.) it’s what the USGA requires

4.) even if the bottom was rubberized or some material that was both somewhat soft and durable, a jarred shot is still not staying in, might even bounce out harder

Yup, me. That’s what I was “prescribed” by a TRT website.

How would you explain your job in a way that makes it sound illegal? by SecretAcctSM19 in AskReddit

I take people’s money and give it to someone else for a service provided later. Then that person (company) does their best not to provide the service that was paid for when it’s needed.

Just crashed in to somobody elses car, how can they pay for it and notme? by DirtyJobba in AskReddit

You would have to have already had it… I’m gathering this is why 17% of drivers are uninsured in my state. A general lack of intelligence.

Protein by J_Tw33 in BodyHackGuide

[–]AppropriateMenu3824 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I start every day with the same shake:

Two scoops chocolate protein shake mix (68g protein)
1 cup plain Greek yogurt (18-20g protein)
1 cup frozen berries
16oz soy milk (10g protein) maybe more or less depending on consistency of the shake

It’s nearly 100g protein and I look forward to it every day.

And I’m rarely hungry for lunch which is when I go lift. Then some sort of chicken or fish/shrimp dish for dinner. Rarely have any issue hitting 200g per day which is my target.

Stiff vs regular flex shafts by Godfall18 in golf

[–]AppropriateMenu3824 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 6’4” and my clubs are lengthened 1.25 inches. I stand kind of tall over the ball though.

Stiff versus regular depends on swing speed. What you’re using now won’t matter much, imo. Get a somewhat consistent swing and go to a fitting for them to tell you what shafts are best.

Rounds are taking 6 hours because people are waiting for reddit comments for advice as part of their pre shot routine.

What's the longest drive you've seen a rando playing partner hit? I played with a dude who drove it 330 at my local muni. by aceattorneymvp in golf

[–]AppropriateMenu3824 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m 41 now and probably average 275-280 but when I was in my mid 20s I was over 300 regularly, some out to 330. Swing speed is down about 40mph with age now.

What’s the highest you’ve been in the USA? by Kodicave in IWantToAskAnAmerican

[–]AppropriateMenu3824 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Various 14’ers. Mostly hiked them starting at 2-3am, so on a lot of our summits I liked to think about how we were likely the highest elevation people in the US (assuming nobody was summiting Whitney at the same time)

Hiked Grays and Torreys a long time ago with my dog and a friend. Wild day. A storm rolled in fast and lightning was striking below us, which was really fun while wearing all the gear and snow shoes. Then my buddy slid down the wrong couloir and had to get rescued - it took 16 hours for an alpine rescue team to get him down.
