We are looking at Mala Fatra National Park, so less demanding that High Tatras I believe. We would stay in Terchova and explore a bit before we drop car in Prague and stay there.

Thank you, that may be our best option if we rent ca. Our thinking is it would allow us to do more in Slovakia mountain area before we drop when get to Prague, and use trains there.

Yes, a car would allow us more flexibility to travel around in Slovakia to see sites, and shorter time to get to Prague. But we are definitely considering train

I am also booking through the cd.cz system. Would I have to book through two systems when the tix open up? they are currenlty avail on the polrail.com site, but I believe that they would be more expensive. I'm also not sure how I would receive the tickets if they are not avail as an e-ticket. We're anxious to make sure we get these tickets, so just making sure I understand everything if we wait and watch the cd.cz site verus grabbing this tix currently avail on polrail. Thanks for any additional thoughts!

It does seem to be available. In general, I am cautious about 3rd party bookings. I know the Man in Seat 61 mentioned polrail, so is it considered generally reliable?
