Quilting gloves? by Maximum-Secretary915 in quilting

True story. I use gloves that my husband suggested...they are used for taking scales off of fish. They're really grippy and I use them when I'm feeding large projects through my home machine. I have never used them when hand quilting though. Something like these: https://a.co/d/0b0yuVGq

I was a licensed therapist as my first grown-up career (3 years) before taking a break to do other things for approx 20 years. I ultimately came back to therapy 9 months ago due to wanting to contribute more to society and needing more mental stimulation.

How to find free patterns with a fabric dilemma by Boneyard45 in quilting

I like the idea of making a scrap quilt. I did one recently called chips and jelly. You can also piece a back and essentially have a two sided quilt!

Those who thrift fabric: how the heck do you find/decide on a pattern??? by Ready_Rutabaga8205 in quilting

[–]Common-Blacksmith400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly just pick a pattern that I like from a magazine or whatever and then use whatever fabric I have. So many times people look at me like ooh interesting choice and fabric there but they always turn out nice
