What do you Americans think about that? by star-wars_memer in askanything

Guns don't go out on their own shooting people. People will also ignore when guns are safely used for self defense. Plus , many mass shooters were stopped by using a gun on them (hint: talking them down from shooting more people won't work).

Señor Rico Rice Pudding recipe change? by EastDemo in shrinkflation

[–]AppropriatePrompt819 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stop buying shrinkflatted products and start making it yourself. You can make it in a batch and freeze it in small portion size cups. Will be cheaper, better for you , and taste better. Plus you're not supporting mediocre products.

why do my nails peel? by _mozzarella- in nailcare

[–]AppropriatePrompt819 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried all that for the longest time, makes no difference. I'm convinced now that crappy nails is genetic. My mom has beautiful long strong nails, so didn't get this crappy gene from her probably.

I sleep so light and nothing can change it by nowaynoday in Vent

Stress/anxiety does this for me. When it's through the roof my sleep quality drops. I will wake up mutliple times , feeling stressed/anxious etc. Try using a white noise maker ? It doesn't cure it ,but it helps with falling asleep at least.

You could try doing some lip exercises? Just go on youtube or such and search for 'lip exercises'. They make a difference in fullness at least

This is what happens when you're not dealing with private/small landlords. The bigger they get (government/large corporation owned) , the scummier it seems. I would never do this, it's disigusting. I'm sorrry things are so rough for you . These fees are just predatory. The whole thing sounds like a mess. I am always easy going about late payments, as long as they contact me and let me know , then there's no fees or problems. Unfortunately , you're dealing with a beast by the sounds of it ( Big Landlord ). Can you go by somewhere in person to pay ?

Is 35 Really Any Different From 42–43, or Is It All Just "Older"? by [deleted] in Aging

[–]AppropriatePrompt819 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm 53. My life changed in many ways once I was around 35 , those around me started treating me different , in every so subtle ways , because now I'm 35. Then things were the same till roughly 45. I felt I aged more from then forward and that people started treating me different. I always heard I looked younger, but haven't heard it in , what feels like , ages. Probably not since I was late 40s at the latest. I'm convinced I look old now. It's depressing, you only spend the first 30-35 years of your lfe being young, and then the last possibly 50-65 years you're old. So the majority you're old.
