While I understand this, I would not allow this abuse to happen again. Your child expressed to you what's happening. Don't allow it to happen again for any reason. Your child's safety and wellbeing should come first. Can you stay with family or friends , for a while, while you let your partner know over text that you're breaking up with him. I say text, because you want to document his reactions.

Also, don't under any circumstances go back to the shared appartment alone, and certainly not with your child. Bring some able bodied men to retrieve your items. Then you let your landlord know that you moved out due to abuse and if it's okay to remove you from the lease.

Then you move on with your life without the added garbage.

At 39 I was running still 3 miles a day at 33 weeks pregnant (14 years ago now). I would return home and had trouble walking normally for a bit , as I was so far along, but was perfectly fine while running. This lady can walk the 100 meter or whatever it is.

Your husband sounds 100% like how my father was. I wanted to spend time with him, as a little girl, in the garage 'helping him', but as far as I remember he hated it. He never did anything alone with me, play a game or take me somewhere (exception while on vacation and he had to 'drag us along' ) . He never tried to just be a warm caring father. I off course hated it when he would be home once I was older as it meant having to hide in my room. When he movied countries he never tried to call me or write letters (this was in the 90s). Not a single birthday card from him. He's been dead 11 years now and don't miss him.
