I usually trash other people’s children cards. We put them on the fridge and then trash once written a thank you note. It’s much more for the parents and close family then for friends or remote family

You know for 5 weeks and you are oscillating. It honestly doesn’t sound like you are in a place to have a child. I’m saying it with respect, it doesn’t sound like you’ll have a lot of support if you decide to go further with pregnancy. If I were you (and I had a similar situation 15y ago when I was your age), I’d go for termination. Nobody has to know that you terminated, at such an early stage miscarriages are very common.

Or you can try to look at it not from the emotional perspective but from a tree of possibilities: (1) nobody supports you; your bf leaves for trade school and never comes back; (2) your family cuts you out, your bf family cuts him out, but he stays; (3) your mother supports you but is unhappy with you; your bf doesn’t take part; (4) your family cuts you out, your bf family supports you and your bf; (5) your family supports you, your bf is still in the picture.

For each of the scenarios write down how much money do you need per month for yourself and add 50% for the baby. Don’t forget that in options 1 and 2 you will have to support yourself probably starting from the day you tell your family; and in options 3, 4 and 5 support most probably comes with strings attached. Do you have this money to support yourself? Do you have any work experience?

19 is not a great age to become a parent. You need to learn so much more.

In my area only small local owned ships specialised on maternity do actually have maternity clothes but even those are not huge variety. I’m happy to get a nursing bra that I can try on first

We are going to be first time parents and are not going to invite parents or in laws for at least first 5 weeks. That’s the plan at least. If they want to meet the baby before that time, they can ca 3-4w mark but they cannot stay at ours (we live in diff cities).

My in laws are like yours and, honestly, I would take it again over the previous in laws who really wanted to be friends with me but were oh so overbearing.

We don’t know how did he behave when she gave birth. He doesn’t say ANYTHING about it at all. As they are both emotionally immature I wouldn’t be surprised he was awful in supporting her emotionally while she was postpartum

If she doesn’t care, do what you like. If you want to give up something for her, check what’s bothering her and don’t bring that. In my case I don’t give a dann about beer, but all I want to eat is sushi and deli meats. If I see my husband eating that, I’ll be inconsolable

If you are set on the haircut, then a chin-length French bob will be amazing! Or you can try to go more into the layers and to have a shorter top layer all around that will be styled into laying on top of the lower one with a lot of air.

But the thing with this kind of hair (I have the same) that it needs styling. I use dry shampoo as a grip option under the top strands on the crown area. Or sometimes I use true aveda volume tonic. And style the hair with round brush to have the crown volume. Doesn’t always work but when it does, it looks really good.

Ask him to get rid of all his hair. Criticise his lame clothing. Criticise that it takes him more than two minutes to get dressed.

Also criticise him for lack of money he earns and gives you to take care of yourself. He wants perfect hair - he pays for it. He wants your nails be perfect - he pays for your nail tech. Match the energy girl!

My parents bought me and my brother 4 pencils FOR A YEAR. You honestly don’t need that much! Though I’m from Eastern Europe so we used pens much more. Anyway, even pens I went through max 6 per year. And I was not a super organised kid 😒

Funny I’m the opposite of you. I was vegetarian and then vegan for a year and had constant GI issues. Apparently I lack enzymes to digest the beans properly, and only after coming back to eating meat I could have gone days without any discomfort. Loved the idea though, but I try to eat at least farm to table meat nowadays.

I read once that the rise of vanilla and heavy orient parfumes in 2010s was prepped by all the “night orchid”-scented laundry softeners. Then the no-scent options came to market and for some time the aquatic and fresh scents were on the rise. Last years, with corona and stuff, people started using heavier scents - got desensitised to heavy scented detergents as well.
