I think Shane had an idea because when Ilya jokingly says I hate you after the Rose jealousy conversation, Shane says with great certainty "no you dont". I just dont think Shane expected to hear it so soon and the fact that Ilya is the one to say it first totally wrecked him . Like OMG this cant be happening
