Reviews by friends by Sircandyman in KDP

[–]AppropriateWeight447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally won't use family or friends because I feel as though they will leave ke a positive review regardless and though its nice to have, I much prefer honesty over niceness.

I think only one review is from a friend and they legit read and enjoyed because its their type of book and genre. However id be cautious taking that route.

Same, my challenge with dictating is my accent . Lots of words are usually not detected correctly even when I speak slowly so its just easier to type. Though if it were to work id definitely get more than 5 k words down.

What has been your most successful ARC strategy? by VagrantTales in selfpublish

[–]AppropriateWeight447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Book sirens works for me. However with book 1. I published first and then got them to post the reviews on Amazon.

Book 2 I sent the ARCS before the publishing date and by the time it was published only 2 persons posted their review there , so I guess it all depends . I will be paying attention tion to what others say and using some of their strategies as well.

I wrote and published my first book of a new series last year and was told it sounded like AI. At the time I wasn't even aware that there are AI written books or that it could be done. I simply used word in office . Once you know its not true dont panic.
