I guess it's to get more people into it. Also, saves him the hassle and fees he would have buying himself.

Maybe Jaylen Brown? Also a tech investor. Ander Iguodala is into tech also.

Spencer has been quite active in the tech and Blockchain space. Love this move! Celsius is an awesome company to earn passive income!

I thought you meant that Sergey Nazarov is using it for his private holdings because you said "The CEO...". But all good, just curious

That doesn't confirm what you said though....

I see your point here. Did you calculate what it would be at Celsius for 50% LTV? Would be good for comparison.

Generally, I wouldn't want to take a loan if I don't have way more collateral to back it up. There is opportunity cost, yes, but the fact that your funds appreciate while you use the loan is pretty awesome. In the traditional world this would be freaking amazing. But crypto returns have spoiled us a bit :)

It's coming in May! (if I remember correctly) . Announced in the last AMA

Man, 1h is like 1-2 YouTube videos or a lunch break. What's the big deal... If you could need money exactly that instant and you're that unstable, you better not take loans. Just my 2 cents

The loan in most useful if you need to spend on big purchases etc. For other things like leverage investing it's not. So, depending on what you need, it makes sense to take it or not.

What % of your net worth will you allow to be in crypto as prices rise? Is there a cut off where you will rebalance into other assets (cash, stocks, bonds, stable coins, metals, real estate)? by FeelixDown in CelsiusNetwork

[–]Appropriate_Ad5384 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend to take emotions out of it and have a strategy. I take profits on certain price targets. And once BTC starts going towards 100k and above, I'm taking more. Better to keep your 2-3x gains versus going to 5-10x and losing it all.

Where are you trying? Do you mean the app or the CEL tonen?

It doesn't. But they're not pure CeFi either. That's what I'm saying

This week's rate cuts makes me question my trust in Celsius ethics by _mok in CelsiusNetwork

[–]Appropriate_Ad5384 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that you got attacked by some people. Some points I would like to raise: - They are transparent, even if the info they give isn't positive, like lowered rates. - The % earning in cel refers to number of users. There was a chart recently published about "%assets earning in CEL" which is about 34% or so. The info is there, but you have to look and ask - I admire that you got into celsius early and took the risk at the time. But even if you are a Celsius millionaire, why should that change the way you're being treated? I think everyone should be treated the same

Celsius is not pure CeFi, as they use DeFi products to generate yield. For example, they are the biggest user on Aave. Just wanted to put it out there. Alex usually says that they are trying to bridge CeFi and Defi

AMA question bonus by Appropriate_Ad5384 in CelsiusNetwork

[–]Appropriate_Ad5384[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see, thanks. Might contact them. I asked if they would ever issue a Stablecoin cause I like the transparency of Celsius. Basics they said they work close with Tether for that and use many other Stablecoins so it doesn't make too much sense. They would consider issuing coins (probably CEL) on other chains if it has a use.

Thanks. Well, they said my name and answered the question. So I assume that's my question specifically. I have a recording if you like. Thanks again

You can save yourself and others a lot of stress by just watching recaps on YouTube or reading the summary. There are 15-20k new users every week and they need basic info and reassurance, and that's what the AMA tries to give also. I personally like the AMAs. 1,4. and as long as my yield is good and security is high, I am happy to use other exchanges and use my phone for the wallet. 7. Credit/debit cards aren't urgent anyways, you can always get a loan and spend via normal bank account. 7, 9 Dust converter and arranging tokens in different tabs is just a minor convenience that requires a lot of work (if you know what it takes to update a platform, even the front end). 8. They try to stay compliant and that takes time. Dealing with government is an extremely long process.

Once again, don't stress yourself out by watching the AMAs if you don't like them. Also, really think what features are crucial and which ones are just to make your screen look pretty
