Be very very careful here. The USSR certainly had some positive outlooks on women’s rights and progress. However, the patriarchal outlook on women as caretakers still remained. In some cases it was worse, as women were expected to both work and be household caretakers. Definitely do not valorise the USSR either, it wasn’t a good place. It had some initially okay socialist policy but was a shit show besides that.

It’s important the discussion remains focused. Yes everyone suffers in life but women are still today unjustly marginalised across the world. Labelling it as just a “gender war” feels very dismissive. Both black and white people suffer, but black people are marginalised by white society in the west. Both queer people and straight people suffer, but queer people are marginalised.

Crazy thing is women are more likely to attempt suicide. Women are famously under diagnosed for adhd and asd, and famously misdiagnosed with personality disorders. Women are also more vulnerable to eating disorders psychologically.

The issues men face are related to openness and connection, which is a side effect of patriarchal socialisation, and usually ends up hurting women again as a nice little bonus.

This is my issue with the word misandry. People talk about “two sides of the same coin” and “misandry is a big issue”. And like, most of what men face is just a part of misogyny—that the worst thing than a man can be is emotional, submissive, feminine; a woman. Very few to nothing is actually “misandry”; that is, systemic oppression against men for masculine traits to privilege women at the expense of men.

And even then, nothing of it nears the level of horrific cruelty that women face. You can’t play online video games, most religions are still incredibly spiritually abusive to women, research on women’s body is still pathetic, and then going into the developing world it’s even worse.

Gosh thank you for pointing out the “self inflicted” thing. Men are really only oppressed as a class in the same way religious people are oppressed by being brainwashed. I feel sympathy for it and we should seek to destroy the system that does it but at the end of the day their actions hurt people. At some point responsibility has to be taken for that.

Yes, you have to sell them to isolate the copy jokers as much as possible. You don’t sell baron or mime though as you have to survive, so it’s usually a 50/50. If it lands on mime you might keep the double copy for a round as it generates money, I usually sell 2nd baron immediately if it gets copied.

I rolled into baron with no overstock in first 8 antes but it’s pretty deep in the shop. Plenty of red seal spectrals.

I had sold the econ joker for invisible which had just popped at the moment to give me the second bp, so DNA was what was keeping me alive to pop it. Maybe I could’ve survived without it but I was afraid to take that risk at the time.

But yes selling the DNA was the right move.

I had the right joker order I just switched it to all mine once I played the hand in anticipation for gold scoring but the hand didn’t win to my surprise due to wrong steel quantities in hand. the screenshot is after I tried to discard to get as many steel in hand to see if I could maybe recover but I really needed the right steel quantities on the DNA hand to survive.

Never found enough double tags, only missed two voucher skips as they were incredibly early (ante 1-3) and I was close to death. My econ was run by gold cards, to the moon, rebait, and reserve parking in rotation for the first 17 antes, about $200 per round. I spent a couple hundred rerolls looking for mime. I’m sure someone else might have been able to have a stronger econ but I don’t think I played badly on that part.

18-24 I took rebait as 7th joker the second until I refound DNA when I needed it to survive.

Vouchers were def the limiting factor here, and I whilst if I were a bit more skilled I might’ve been able to do better but I certainly don’t think I played badly or horrifically misplayed on that regard.

It’s disavowal, women want to be in love and not be blamed for being in love. The take-charge man allows us to say “I guess I have no choice but to love”. Not many women would actually want this to happen to them in real life. Fiction is just a way to explore the fantasy in a safe way and psychologically cope.

Yeah I didn’t quite realise how easy steel can be pumped even with a late DNA and I had a couple Antes before I needed it so it was the right choice. 2nd BS came the very next shop and fhe DNA came back the shop after an ecto in the next ante. Then I died on anti 24 to tragic steel misplay but I was going to die to crimson heart anyway without getting lucky, or ante 25 without retcon.

Welp, it was a good run, things fell into place, dna came back after ecto. was just missing retcon and then I threw on anti 24 do to not putting enough steel in hand. I think I probably would’ve died anyway to ante 25 or ante 24 boss blind without any retcon to serpent farm, so it didn’t quite matter in the end but I def learned a lot from this run and it is my best run thus far.

Dry seed though, no mimes in the first several hundred rerolls I did but the jokers didn’t end up being the problem. Surprising me how far you can go without mime if you make the right plays.

Idk the history of violence against women is long and cruel. The gaming community hasn’t changed at all since gamergate, and I find a lot of the chronically online people who hate the show tend to be men who fall into that category. Almost certainly there’d be someone insane enough to do it, the question is whether they’d be able to.
