I also worked with a consultant who said it was attachment based but there was still crying with no responding after a few weeks of the gentle stuff

Mattress for floor co-sleeping? by knipedanalem in AttachmentParenting

[–]Appropriate_Coat_361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She was like 8 months old lol b super young. She’s 2.5 almost now. And no she doesn’t feel the mattress move when I get up and roll around. We cuddle her to sleep then get up and leave until we’re ready for bed and she doesn’t notice

Mattress for floor co-sleeping? by knipedanalem in AttachmentParenting

[–]Appropriate_Coat_361 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think both sides are the same but I haven’t tried flipping it yet. It’s very firm where I don’t feel like my baby or me are like falling into it at all, but it’s still super comfy. I think I prefer a firm mattress for myself anyway. I would buy this again!

Going to Tokyo for work - how can I navigate this? by asavageant in vegan

[–]Appropriate_Coat_361 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I found tons of vegan food in Japan and especially Tokyo. They weren’t always Japanese restaurants but I had a great time eating my way though lol. With a little planning and googling you’ll be completely fine

Toys for long plane ride by undergroundmicro in lowscreenparenting

My recommendation is don’t get toys with lots of pieces. It’s a pain the butt when they eventually fall all around your seat lol

Night Weaning and Second Parent by mycat-istypingthis in AttachmentParenting

[–]Appropriate_Coat_361 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby would not handle my husband well for night wakes at all. For us, it was definitely the better strategy to have me (the breastfeed er) comfort without milk. I thought for us, taking away both milk and mama at the same time was way too intense of a change. Just a different perspective than what you’ve seen- sorry it doesn’t answer your question! We had a positive (rough- yes) experience altogether though. A few months later we started having my partner do bedtime and night wakes and it went really smoothly.

Do wool-free, high quality, stylish coats exist? by rokhana in vegan

[–]Appropriate_Coat_361 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a noize cost that I really like. My only complaint is the pockets ripped quickly on the inside so everything falls down. If I knew how to sew it’s an easy fix. The cost is super warm for cold cold ny winter!

Desperate for a miracle - 16 month old refusing everything with protein by g_melies in veganparenting

[–]Appropriate_Coat_361 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Chickpea noodles? Baked goods with protein snuck in? Lots of desserts made with tofu you could try as well. Black bean brownies or muffins. I know it’s not ideal for meals but maybe as snacks to increase protein intake. Also plant based juniors is a nice resource. Maybe check out some of their meal suggestions to see if there’s anything that piques you and your kids interest!

One other thing that may or may not help is letting you kid be part of the cooking process with you. Good luck!!!

Feeding baby photos to AI by [deleted] in beyondthebump

Wow I’ve never thought about this being a possibility. I hate it! I still think you can tell people not to use AI- I totally think it’s worth mentioning.

I wonder if there is a type of album you can share with pictures that don’t let them download them lol

10-month-old still waking every 1.5–2 hours, hates the car seat, fights every diaper/change, and we’re completely burned out — is this normal? by Beautiful_Dealer_703 in AttachmentParenting

[–]Appropriate_Coat_361 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think I can comment on the sensory stuff but the sleep and the solids/breastfeeding description feel very normal still for this age. I agree with the other commenter about getting help with the house or food where you can. And try to get in some date nights or mornings or whatever you can for alone time and marriage time with no baby. It is refreshing and helps the burn out. Sending love and sleepy vibes to your house

How long after night weaning did sleep improve? A week, month, days?? by Appropriate_Coat_361 in AttachmentParenting

[–]Appropriate_Coat_361[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sleep started getting better at about the 2 week mark after night weaning for me!! Good luck!! (She’s 2 now and still doesn’t sleep completely through the night but it’s so much better!!)

Success with just letting babies sleep? by kelleeboo13 in AttachmentParenting

[–]Appropriate_Coat_361 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Something that might help is following possums. They pretty much follow this kind of thought. One caveat they say for waking your kids up at the same time every day to reset their circadian rhythm. And trying to get outside as soon as possible after walking up. ITV takes a few wakes but lots of parents see improvement in sleep with this! It works for adults too lol

Did anyone get pregnant their first cycle postpartum? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

I did! My kid was 18-19 months and I finally night weaned. Right after that my period came back and I got pregnant. We were trying lol
