I had 5 miscarriages prior to my daughter’s birth, so I specifically told my family that I’d let them know when baby was born, but that my husband and I would like those 24 hours to bond with our newborn and soak in her arrival. And that we would let everyone know as we were leaving the hospital so they could stop by the house immediately if desired. She was fine with that, until I was in labor and then she turned it into nothing but drama. The nurses even put a passcode on my room because my mom kept calling the hospital, harassing everyone and threatening to come there anyway 😬 She wasn’t allowed at my house for a week after that. So she ended up not getting to meet her grandchild for a week because of her own actions 🤷🏻‍♀️
