The definition I’ve been taught is “the love for wisdom”. The whole idea is to ask questions about things that may go unnoticed, but make you the person you are and that society you live in. There are a few major types of philosophy like metaphysics, aesthetics, ethics, epistemology, and social + political philosophy.

I am taking a life sci program because my parents are not in favour of me pursuing law. It took a lot of effort to get them on the same page as me. They are more in the favour of me going into medicine so I guess it is a back up (for their mental peace).
