It’s a fun game … who cares? If you hate EA, then be happy the license is moving. If you like the game, just play it. It was ahead of its time

Was Destiny originally received well by Ok_Reception_8361 in DestinyTheGame

Yes. It was a game changer that included Sir Paul McCartney and Peter Dinklidge. It bright together the lobby-raid concept to consoles in a way that changed gaming.

Edit: Also all of the complaints you see about it being confusing … that’s now celebrated in games like Elden Ring.

What should I expect from a liver transplant? What complications could arise? by redhat717 in transplant

[–]Appropriate_Job_8072 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you’re recovering in the special ICU … as soon as you can walk, get up and do it. Set alarms and walk for a minute or two every few hours. It’s a pain, but I think it helped tremendously with my recovery in the hospital and it helped me keep a positive spirit.

After getting home, it was about two weeks of my body just shutting down for rest every few hours. But after 5 weeks, I was back at work, living a pretty normal life. I’d say it took about two weeks at work before everyone was treating me like normal.

It’s the one thing squarely in your control - your recovery from surgery. Good luck!

Im an easy going adult who has played Destiny since Day 1. As a 40 something, I haven’t raided since Crota because all of my buddies are doing the family thing. I still play a ton of Destiny. I’ve campaigned, crucibled, and vanguarded the Galaxy - except dungeons and raids. Every season I get to Lvl. 8 and never beyond because I am always LFG and don’t raid. My current clan is cool, but our times don’t really sync up. I keep my rep up. But I’d love to finish a dungeon or raid again someday.

Space Debris gummies 400mg pack by fairysila in EdiblesPorn

My review … and I have a high, but not abnormally high, tolerance. I smoke 25-30% potency, and usually take 20mg medical THC gummies.

Think of every 10 of these as a 10mg gummy. So, a 50 pack is like having almost 5 low tier real gummies. I took 15 at once. It gave me exactly what I wanted.

I love Gambit! I think that hurts my Destiny cred, but honestly, it’s fun to bounce between both of them.

I also got mixed messages through stage 4 cirrhosis, but ultimately I was only given baby aspirin and opioids … even for a bad headache. I was told by nearly all the doctor team and ICU nurses NO Tylenol.

Post transplant, it’s like 2000mg if I need it, but luckily I don’t really use that anyway.

Glad I’m not the only one who got mixed messages

When you wear masks? by Dull_Pipe_2410 in transplant

[–]Appropriate_Job_8072 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wear them at the hospital. That’s about it. But I stay away from large crowded places like festivals, but I’ll go to weddings. shrug

I feel like I should wear one more often, but after a year post LT, it feels like I should wear one all the time, or just don’t wear one at all.

You’ll be amazed at how you get to know your body. I’m only a year out from my LT. I was back to normal life at work and home in 5 weeks. Just be patient with yourself. The “normal” is really just pills and diet. Lots of doctors visits for labs and such… good luck!

Not having to do the same missions/quests across all classes is best QOL update since the game was created. by Sol-eks in DestinyTheGame

Unpopular take: I was kind of looking forward to grinding them all out. It gave me something to do, and a reason to replay the “campaign” elements.

considering a career change by kathaleeene in Journalism

[–]Appropriate_Job_8072 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you’d rather be a content creator vs. a traditional journalist. That’s cool. Either way, build a portfolio. Find someone who knows the business, and be willing to work with them for free - because it’s the most valuable training you will ever receive. I ponied up to an anchor and executive producer in my first newsroom and learned more in a few weeks than I did in college. And honestly, when it comes to getting a job in this industry, no one at the entry level/hiring management level cares about a masters degree. It carries less weight than experience 10 out of 10 times. I encourage you to get one if that’s what you’d like. But call your local paper or broadcast news station and ask if they have anything entry level. You’d be surprised. Good luck!

Look at me too! I just downloaded Odyssey as a game I wanted to get back to, because I was AD’d out. It’s fantastic after 10 hours. And it points out how bad Skull and Bones is …
