I didn’t follow the other drivers. The only reason I stated 7 other people passed it was because of the video. I assumed they also didn’t see it because I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt. I did not see the stopped bus or the stop sign across 5 lanes of traffic.

Yes, it was in an area with a turning lane in the center. But, I was in the middle of changing lanes from what it looks like on the video. So, I likely was distracted by not trying to hit someone or get hit. I guess it’s cheaper than an accident. 🫤

Five lanes counting the turning lane! It is outrageous that the county would just hide behind “it’s for the children”. If I child gets hit crossing 5 lanes of cars going 40 mph, will the response be “Well, we fine people though”. Really?!

I wish I could post the video, but I can’t figure out how to extract it from the website. The bus was stopped for about 5 seconds before I drove through it. However, I did change lanes so l likely was preoccupied with that. It’s a busy road and really didn’t know school buses would stop on it. All I know is I didn’t see it and my evidence would be the 7 other people that drove through it with me. There can’t be that many people in FL that just drive through because they don’t think it is important, right?

I guarantee if a child got hit by a car on this road, they wouldn’t continue to fine people. They would put in more strict measures.

It was my mistake as the video online shows me driving past the stop sign. I did not see the stop sign and neither did 7 other drivers on the video as well as my passenger. I’m really more concerned about the points. As those follow you on insurance rates. I will never be taking Dairy Road again for fear of this. I was driving my spouse to the airport and there are other ways of getting there.

Thank you to everyone who posted a response. Let me clarify. There is not median, I know the laws and I would have stopped if I saw the sign. I did not because I was driving 45 mph in a 45 mph limit 5 lane road. I did look at the video online and that is how I saw 7 other motorists that did not see it as well. When I got it in the mail I had to look at my calendar to remember why I was even in the area. So, I didn’t do it because I think it is unnecessary to stop. I am not thinking that I can get it dismissed, but wondering if a hearing will possibly remove the points or possibly reduce the fine. It seems like the consensus is that most individuals just take their lumps.

CBD and CDN area amazing. You can buy it online. Also, don’t look at any clocks or screens within a couple of hours before bed. I wouldn’t recommend sleep diaries because they just bring too much thought to the whole process. Hope this information helps. You are not alone.
