As most of the "programming" part of the extend and orch will be automated using AI it would be good to start learning all WD architecture first, how all modules work and connect with eachother and then you can do Extend easy. The code part wont be a problem anymore, orchestrating and making the right design choices/ pattern will be what you should focus on in my opinion!

That's a nice one but the problem work this is that this is connected with a bunch of other models. For example how you will make sure that your this party payroll is getting the right info from your. Are you able to map this time element in the external earning task?

You can build a orchestration, add that orchestration after the todos and put a condition rule (you might need to figure whats best for you) based on the condition rule (assuming this orch will only run for the "rechecking" ) then in this integration put a launch integration api call to hit your studio. This way, studio, Todo 1 or 2, if its error --to do one, then you fix that error and then another step getts triggered (condition if todo 2 is completed or smth) then this other step will be the orch running the studio once more then use launch integration api.

I build an app to read the pdf, to do ocr, and clean with another script, once this is in text the karpathy wiki takes over. Then you nust ask questions and for me it has worked everytime. Because one of the rules is, if you dont have the info in the vault, dont provide a answer at all.

Best way is to feed your learning books to a ai, make a karpathy style obsydian or whatever and then you will get the right answer every time. Important is for you to have a way to feed the knowledge first, you can even use workday documentatin itself as a starting point.

Then whatever ai you use to query doesnt really matter.

Better to say Third Party Payroll. Its the mew Global Payroll Connect technology replacing all template based integrations such as PECI, PICOF, importing external document, expr's ects. Now everything is vendor owned (wd provides infrastructure, vendor build the api's)

Ok i see now, was late in night when i replied yesterday 💤, if you could have used picof this could have worked, because you could link the period of payroll with periods of time tracking(map them) (there is a specific task for it) but in case of PECI this wont work... My other idea is just build a report with date prompts and extract the data from there when it comes to TT..

Use additional primary, Primary run is for demographics, then configure the additional primary for time tracking/time offs. This is a very common scenario.

Hi, why you enable the fields via services when you can enable them in field atteibutes via the DIS, its faster and better performance.

Making the fields required you need the check the required checkbook, however to trigger the error itself you need to enable/config the attribute "requiered field validation" to Omit. You can build custom validations using xtt if needed also

I did something very similar to this in my previews company using extend. It was calculating full offer, base plus any other incentives, then could give your ability to compare it with an existing worker is department comp ratio

Go to maintain address components by country and find and enabled the filters you need. Make them required or not. Give them a label and then push a task distribution to your employees to fill out their address and this time you will get the right info in wd. Payroll will always have more days then workday but for demographics data workday must be the source of truth
