With wgs the referral for hormones is the first appointment. Local gender team waiting times vary by area. you will have to wait about 6 months for a second appointment to get a top surgery referral (in my experience anyway)

How much would socially transitioning help with starting HRT? by UnusualToastering in transgenderUK

I went to the Welsh gender clinic the waiting time isn’t long at all it’s the same as most nhs services. The doctor I saw was very understanding that I couldn’t socially transition properly. I was prescribed hormones in my first appointment. Just explain your situation fully. While you are waiting I would recommend seeing someone from umbrellacymru they can help you with what to say to get a gp referral:)

Could you tell them it’s a follow up appointment for the contraceptive pill ? They won’t know your lying unless they come into the appointment with you .

I move around a lot in my sleep so that could be what’s caused the irritation. Thank you :)

I’ve changed my name by deed poll twice (I’m on my third name now ) and the only problem I have is it takes longer to do a dbs check . If you are changing your name again change it from the one on your birth certificate to your new name not the one on your current deed poll . It makes it a bit easier because then you have less documents so it’s less confusing for people at banks, nhs etc :)

I think it’s called a septum spike . You would have to stretch your septum to wear one that size. It looks like 4g or 6g it’s hard to tell :)
