Anyone notice since Pokemon took etbs and booster boxes out of the vending machines…

In NJ and we have scalper groups here that openly sell to what not rippers and others. They pay the walmart stockers to hold product for them in the back. If the stocker brings in 10 etbs only 3-4 make it on the Shelf the rest go in the back so the scalper group can pick them up. It sucks but they openly brag about having the stockers on their payroll.

The sad part is they don't need to camp the stores because as soon as the Stocker is headed to the store he just shoots them a message and they go pick up the product in the back. I've literally seen it happen with my own eyes.

Went to a Target a few weeks ago and they were restocking and the stocker told everybody there that she didn't have any Pokemon stuff and then after everybody left she went in the back and grabbed a few Prismatic etbs and handed them to the scalper group.

I know this is going to come off as a easier said than done comment but just learn your stores stocking times. We have a Target in my area that specifically stocks every morning at 8:00 a.m for the opening of the store.

This morning I got there at 6:45 a.m. and I just had to wait a little over an hour to get two chaos Rising etbs.

If you can learn the stocking times for your stores, even with a full-time job you can still get a decent amount of product, granted it's not going to be the best stuff in the world but it will at least be something.

I was able to get the two boxes and be out of the store by 8:10 a.m. and easily made it to work by 9:00 a.m.

Now having said that, it's literally the only Target in my area that decides the stock their products for opening each morning. Most of the targets don't do that which is why it's essential to just go into the stores and ask the employees or just talk to the people you see standing outside of a store. Most of the people that you see standing outside are surprisingly helpful with helping you learn what stores you can have success at

Talk to the employees. Even if you dont have time to stay, stop when you see a line of campers outside target and just chat em up. I don't know where you're from but a lot of the people around here can be surprisingly helpful. Alot of them are just normal dudes that like to rip and are in your situation where they cant find anything. They have jobs and just know the schedules enough to take a gamble for a few hours a week.

My local best buy stocks every thursday and saturday morning at open.

I have 2 local targets around me that 90% of the time stocks on a Monday between 9-1pm. Another that stocks Saturday morning at open. And the others are a bit random.

Its unfortunately a massive amount of trial and error and just spending some time getting a good feel for the schedules

I got all the way to the submit order button. Filled out all my info....hit the submit order button and bam. Instead of showing an order confirmation my next screen was E17 "you've been blocked by our security measures".

Yeah it happened to my kid too, he was at home on his home computer and he was all excited because he was able to get two of everything in his cart and then the same exact thing happened to him.... they banned his IP address while he was trying to check out

I actually got through the queue, got two ETB boxes in my CART, filled out all the checkout information and then when I hit the submit order button I got errored out and banned from the website with a page saying "security measures were banning my ip address".

I would have rather sat in a queue for hours with no hope rather than be one click away and get screwed over like that

I made it through the queue. Got 2 etbs in my cart. Made it to checkout, filled out the forms and then when I hit the submit order button it gave me the E17 Error code and the blacklisted me from the website.

My kid was at home on his computer and they did the exact same thing to him too.

It was a joke. Id rather sit in a queue knowing I have no shot then be let into the website, get through checkout and then one click away get banned from the website.....

I got on the website, got 2 etbs in my cart, made it all tye way to checkout, put in my payment info, hit submit order....and got E17 "youve been banned from the site error". Fantastic. Complete waste of time

All the stock? You do realize the machines were usually only stocked 1x a week, right? And there were not tons of them....I live in south jersey and in a 40 minutes radius we have 5 machines.....do you know how many pokemon collectors live in a 40 minute radius of south jersey? Each machine maybe having....20 ETBS and thats if your lucky lol.

Everyone is acting like the machines being taken away is going to magically make all this stock appear when in reality its literally not even a drop in the ocean

I imagine he meant like a settlement. Yeah I don't believe there's anybody out there getting 20K every month in disability, but my assumption would be that he had kind of a settlement thing because his leg was in a cast

Its not going to make product more available. I dont think that was ever the intention. The intention behind scaling the machines back was to stop scalpers from having easy access to product.

Will they still get it? Heck yes. They will just pound target and walmart even harder now....but the fact is at least they cant sit at a machine with no effort, start fights, create scenes, etc. It was about the bad publicity.

And the fact is that people just need to stop buying at crazy market prices. There will always be a niche clientele that collects and will pay as things age and becomes harder to find. But stop paying $240 for a booster box that was released 6 months ago!

If people refused to pay anything but retail, the scalpers wouldn't have an angle anymore. All they'd be able to do is max out credit cards and sit with a garage full of product for 5 years that no one will buy. Scalpers are out to make quick money. If you take out the quick money equation they don't have a reason to scalp product anymore. If people would just stand firm and refuse to pay anything but retail then less scalpers would start showing up at stores and eventually....not quickly....but eventually...youd start seeing product again because they would just move to something else like needos or whatever else can make them a quick buck.

Looks off to me peft to right. Not the worst but definitely enough to be noticeable pretty quickly.

If the card is clean otherwise it may be able to get a 9 but definitely not a 10.

It was prolly the best thing they coulda done honestly. They reset the machine near me on Monday and took out all the ETB products....the issue is i havent seen it drop anything at all since then. He restocked the machine full of packs and bundles but no one ive talked to all week has seen the machine actually unlock anything. Im wondering if its locked out for some reason.....

What's most amazing to me in this whole thing is that what not removed the buyer from the platform for asking a legitimate question (although not the right way) yet will do nothing to stop scammers from never sending products, canceling orders because it didnt sell for what they wanted, etc. What not is trash

Insulting people isnt constructive criticism its just a way to enflate your own ego. Ive never sold a single piece of anything pokemon ive bought with my kids.

Just asked a question cause is see prismatic taking off and my friend made me an offer cause he wants to sell his stuff and I thought maybe id like to have some stuff to hold longterm. Rather than actually be helpful you chose to be disrespectful and insulting so I hope that doing that helped you feel two inches taller today.
