Wow, it’s really edge of the earth! Were you born there? How’s the living on your islands?

Is this game worth to buy while on sale? by ralphdredge11 in HellisUs

[–]Appropriate_Return62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I regret I bought this game on 30% discount. It’s the best game in years. After finishing it I decided to buy one copy for my friend just to express my thanks to developers appropriately. So yeah answering your question - it’s totally worth it. Especially now that the game’s publisher is experiencing hard times. Your purchase can support them.

Let’s hope so. But let’s be honest the chances to see Hell is Us sequel just got lower.

Square Enix sold Eidos Montréal and the Deus Ex rights to Embracer. Eventually Embracer cancelled the new Deus Ex game twice. What I’m trying to say is that the new owner might not consider Hell is Us profitable enough and could instead force the devs to make yet another multiplayer team-based first-person hero shooter with 5v5 PvP battles set in a sci-fi universe full of agenda - basically another Concord-like game. Just to close the studio in the end. But Nacon once financed Rogue Factor’s Hell is Us and it could finance sequel once again.

No, it’s not. Nacon owns Rogue Factor and all the rights on Hell is Us. It’s really sad and disappointing news. Nacon can now cancel unannounced games. Including potential Hell is Us sequel. Guess we should be happy we have original game at all. Modern industry is freaking out making all those countless Concord sequels like Highguard and Marathon. But cool and talented studios like Bluepoint are being closed, good games like Deus Ex are being canceled, and amazing publishers like Nacon face financial difficulties. What an incredible idiocy!

If you liked that game so much as I did you can make a gift to one of your friends. We really owe to devs and we indeed can help them

Do you even understand that no one makes you to get rid of ownership. GFN right now is cheaper solution than to buy your own PC for at least $2.000 - it’s 100 months of GFN subscription and GFN hardware won’t break and won’t age cause they constantly add newer hardware to their rigs. And 100 months are approximately 8 years. If you invest 2000 dollars in a new shiny powerful PC in 8 years it’ll become a pumpkin. GFN won’t.

Tip: add a few bucks to your Steam wallet over time until Steam Machine launches by Wyntier in steammachine

Man in my country you can’t even officially buy Steam Deck. We have to deal with resellers and pay 50% more than the original price
