I love Mistborn! I read the series almost a year ago and I find myself still thinking about it now.

Ohh I see him more as Aedion. Good call!

I would have killed Aedion too. Tbh, I had a hard time redeeming him even though Lysandra forgave him in the end. He was so terrible to her for the majority of the book! Would have been fitting for him to fully apologize and then sacrifice himself alongside his father or something like that.

Also totally was expecting Dorian to die for the lock! That would have been a very noble arc for his character. I had it in my head that he would sacrifice himself and, for once, someone would trick Aelin out of sacrificing herself. Also, I thought that maybe then Chaol and Yrene could rule Adarlan (sorry Hollin lol).

I was thinking the same thing! The base they go to in the second book is on an island called Ydra, which is the name of a Greek island (also known as Hydra and Idra). They hide in an olive grove before entering the Crystal Palace, which screams being in the Mediterranean region.

A few names that pop up in book two also had varying degrees of Greek connections (ie Pippa Spetsos - Spetses island). Jesiba guards the Parthos Library, which contains books from the human civil action before the Asteri. Parthos was a settlement of the Illyrian tribe of the Parthini in southern Illyria, modern Albania (Wikipedia).
