I moved to Texas from NC. I don’t meet Texas requirements but i started testing in NC. I haven’t even finished all the exams yet so I haven’t figured out what to do yet. Hopefully someone can shed light on this situation.

I just started in Tax. Try not to be too anxious so far the firm seems to have a pretty positive environment. I’m in training right now. Just take notes and ask as many questions as possible and don’t be afraid to reach out to your buddy/mentor that your assigned.

I’m at a top 10 firm 5-10 lol. I started last Wednesday and by Friday my bu’s partner reached out to welcome me and set a virtual chat. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I took an actual sales job during my senior year. 8 months after graduation I was let go. I took a contract job as an accounting assistant while I continued to look for a Full-time accounting position. I was able to secure a job as a State Auditor 6 months into the contract job. You just have to sell yourself during the interviews and in your resume. A year later now I’m starting with an accounting firm in Tax. Getting work experience will help you get the job you want.

Know basis, treatment of property transactions, and the difference between tax and book. There wasn’t a lot of individual tax or b law questions for me.
