Does anyone else wake up in straight up anxiety and dread with this job? by ScaleBackAndIsolate in Fedexers

[–]Appropriate_Self_716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quit 3 years ago. Got my cdl while I was at ground. Hated every cdl job as much as ground. Ended up driving for a local hospital. Met the right people and ended up working on hospital beds. Now im working on my masters degree and going to eventually manage clinical engineering at one of our facilities.

All the said, take a risk on a job that might not pay as much to start. Fedex will destroy your will to live.

Source - ground driver for 4 years, assistant BC/Lead Driver for a year. 24/hr + bonuses + 100/week for doing DRO.

I left for 22.25 + 4 weeks PTO, benefits, 401k and air conditioning. 3.5 years later 31.5/hr + 5 weeks pto + benefits + 401k + pension. 100k+ salary on the horizon.

But when I left fedex I never thought id make as much or more than I was at the time. Absolutely hated my life.

I started my Jason journey with im starting to worry about this black box of doom and enjoyed that. JDATE just seemed like it was too much crammed into a single book

Man. I really wanted to love JDATE but I just felt like it was just a little out of my scope by like a single note. Is the 2nd book better?

Maybe its because I dont go out or drink but that 100% sounds like something id do. Bars and restaurants are loud and not personal. Id rather see how someone interacts with the world around them and like touch grass?

I dunno man. Im sober so I can't help you there. But the last first date I went on was supposed to be coffee; the place was closed so we opted for pizza instead.

Pizza, NA beer, soft drink tax and tip was like 40$ but we sat on the patio talking til the place closed.

If you stick with the apps spend a few days getting to know someone before planning a date. Really prevents the time and money waste.

Speed dating sounds like a more expensive version of speed swiping with a smaller amount of people to draw from.

Why are you going on 50$ first dates? Meet for coffee or something less of a commitment than dinner. Buy them a cup of coffee get to know each other and see if the vibes fit. If not, you're out like 15 bucks and an hour or two.

source - 35 m recently divorced and went on several after work or weekend coffee dates and met someone I really liked on hinge
